This doesnt work for previous generations of tv's with the Smart Hub button instead of Home. You need to do this video for the previous versions of the Samsung TV with Smart Hub.

This did not answer my question. How to open it and have the YoutubeTV app move to the main page that showcases my key "apps", like Netflix, HBOmax, etc. I don't want to have to search for YoutubeTV it every time.

My Samsung is 2022 brand new $1799 I downloaded YouTube TV but have to go to search bring it up everything. How do I add on the home screen like Netflix app it show immediately when turn on, but yutube won't show unless go to search

Just installed YouTube TV on the Samsung TVs that I currently own, but for some reason the remotes don’t work all correctly. Not sure how to get back to TV guide using Samsung remote. Any thoughts would greatly be very helpful. Thanks 😊

Thanks for this. YouTube wouldn’t load on my tv so I thought deleting it and redownloading it would work but I didn’t know how to install it but now it’s working again!!

While it may seem like you can't return to the home screen of the Youtube TV app after selecting a show, you can. I just found out that if you tap the directional pad on the remote it will show some stuff below the video but to get to the main screen, you have to be watching the video and tap the back arrow on the remote.

Icon for youtube TV does not show up in home. I have to go to apps and search for it everytime and go through the iphone to get it to work

This won’t work if your Samsung tv has Smart Hub. I can’t sideload a stick either. Any suggestions for those of use with a Samsung with Smart Hub?

I'm on a quest to find a Youtube player for this Samsung OLED TV which has the nightmarish ads completely stripped out. Any help would be appreciated. As I understand it, Samsung TV's run Tizen OS, and NOT Android, so great apps like Vance are unavailable (?) for Samsung TVs.
