Don't have the new live guide yet? Be patient! I asked YouTube TV on Twitter about it and here's the response: "While we don't have info on when it'll be available to everyone, we can confirm that we're gradually rolling out this new Live guide feature to our customers. For now, it's best to keep the app updated to make sure that they won't miss out. Let us know if you need more help!"

Thanks for this heads up. I wish YTTV had given me any notice! I spent 45 minutes on YTTV support last night trying to figure out why my guide changed. I MUCH preferred the older version. This new version is Much more problematic and doesn't allow you to see any preview of the channels anymore!

You we're spot on with the user experience.
We just signed up for a trail period, and YouTube TV navigation is challenging and not intuitive like it is with Cable.

Both my son and I have technical backgrounds, but we still had to fumble around for a bit to get used to the layout even though I have been a YouTube Premium customer for years.
Why even have a separate app from YouTube, but I digress.
My wife is non-technical, and is not going to spend the time and effort to re-learn how to watch TV. Simply isn't going to happen. Same goes for Gen X or older crowds.
Unless they make some serious changes, I'll likely cancel and look elsewhere (or just keep our cable tv) as this simply does not meet our needs..

Just started Youtube TV again yesterday. Added it to my devices. It was cool that it had all my shows that I added to the library from the last time I had youtube tv. But I used this video to familiarize myself with it again. Works great on my smart TVs.

I've only had Youtube TV for maybe 1.5 months now... The initial problem I had was learning to use different buttons on my remote that I used when I had cable. Watching these videos have REALLY HELPED! When I initially started, I had to cover one button on on my remote with duct tape so I'd quit hitting it by accident... 😆 It was one I always flipped the tv on with cable, but wasn't the right one for YouTube TV.. Now that I've had Youtube TV for 6 or 7 weeks, and have added FRNDLY... I love it!! It is TEN TIMES better than our crummy cable service in town!! I also love that it comes with Peacock TV so if I want to watch full episodes like "The Office" or whatever.. I can start them from season one. The tips on here have been incredibly helpful... It's made learning to use it a piece of cake. 😆👍 Thanks.. YouTube TV rocks in my opinion!

It's hard to read the new small font, and there is no way to set it, either in the app, or in Roku. Not an improvement for me.

The guide reminds me a lot like Xfinity’s old guide but more modern. All I want is a clock and the ability to customize the custom view from your TV.

Don't like that I now have to scroll over the mini guide now to get to my program guide. I was a programmer so I know the best way to improve software is to allow users to set up defaults for customization, giving them more control, like...
1. Setting to startup in: Library, Home, Live or last used.
2. When starting LIVE: let YouTube TV bring up a channel or bring up the last channel I watched.
3. When watching a live program and bringing up the guide, have the option to default to starting at the top of the guide or start up the guide centered on the channel I'm currently watching.

I miss the number buttons for direct access to a channel, the 'last' viewed channel button, and channel up/down buttons that are on cable remotes.
I would love for YouTube TV to incorporate numbers in the Live Guide for use with current TV remote. Or even better, a YouTube TV HDMI Device that includes a remote with numbers, a Last Viewed button, and a Channel Up/Down button . I'm sure many ex cable users would definitely purchase that device.

the new "guide" SUCKS I used to be able to see a full page of channels at one time... now that's cut in half, which leads to more scrolling and scrolling way to go Youtube... "New" doesn't always mean "improved "

Hit it on the nose! Want to keep the guide experience we are used to with fios and cable. Just want to ditch the cost. Not all family members are tech savvy. They just want to watch their shows quick and easy.

This new guide is AWEFUL!!! I wish we could swap back with a setting. I don’t understand why they would model the new one after old and outdated, poorly coded cable boxes. Fail.

Hate this stupid set up. Let me change the color, it's to DARK, and get Rid of the thumbnails in the live guide. I am happy that there are a lot of providers out there.
