The Pet food industry is freaking out because we've realised 2 things:
1) Processed pet food is generally bad for our pets and;
2) We want our pets to enjoy their lives, part of which should be enjoying their food.

Home cooking and basic hygiene is the common sense option and I'm truly in awe of a vet who not only gives his time to create free information for the sake of animals but who is not pushing the pet industry line; so many do, purely to line their own pockets.

Research germ theory versus terrain theory, the bacteria are not the problem, the entire allopathic system is based on the wrong theory. I handle raw meat the same for my dog as I do for myself. The only extra I do is not let my dog lick me for 30 mins after feeding. My morbidly obese vet told me I would kill my dog by feeding her real food and not dog food. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The medical system for both humans and animals is just a money making machine.

I've been raw feeding for 40+ years. My dogs eat fresh human grade ingredients. I've never had any issues.

If you are feeding substandard ingredients, if you are not cleaning properly, storing it properly, etc, of course you will have problems. But if you take the same care that you do with your own food, you'll be fine.

I feed my dog and cats raw, homemade diets using ingredients sold for human consumption. I do a thorough cleanup of my kitchen after preparation just like I would after handling raw meat for our own meals. Huge pet food manufacturers, ie; Purina, Mars, P & G etc..., file lawsuits against small, independent companies that make raw or more wholesome pet foods, putting them out of business, which is frequently the goal. The massive recall in 2007 did not involve raw pet foods but rather canned foods manufactured in China or contained tainted ingredients from China. Kibble is also recalled frequently for toxic mold or other bacterial contamination. Raw diets are constantly thrown under the bus with hysterical claims of "dangerous" contaminations.

I've fed my dogs raw for years now, never had any problems. However, i use disposable gloves too!👍
In my own opinion, Governments etc and those with financial interests in the pet food market will continue to view Raw feeding negatively..
Every few years they pick on another produce.. eggs, pork, beef..lamb... it will continue while ever there is funding behind alot (not all) the propaganda by big companies and "groups " ..

I’m now cooking my 12 year old Yorkies food ! I just finished up a crock pot full of veggies and Turkey ! He loves it wish I had looked into this long ago ! The can dog food is nothing but trash and his little tummy was always upset ! He lost most of his hair ! Now he looks like a healthy Yorkie just because I took the time to cook and put some in the freezer ! One week hambuger one week Turkey ! Thank you for all you share ! God bless you

I feed my dog real fresh food. The same food I would eat. Not commercially processed concoctions. But I do cook the meats, as I would for myself. I would need to know who paid for that study & the exact "raw foods" they referred to.

I feed my standard poodles raw for 19 years that lived to be 17, 16 and 14 years all of old age . I did and do make our raw out people food don't buy stuff they sell . Washing the meat first and I cook the chicken and Turkey meat. Don't use pork are lamb at all. For my Shih Tzys .

Instinct Frozen Raw is High Pressure Pasteurized so vet recommended for immune challenged 10yr old cat and he is doing so much better than previous Rx diet. All his fur grew back, no more scratching, no more pot belly. We are careful with the food, plates and countertop, even use good quality disposable plates on busy days. So thankful for this gr8 food for a much healthier n happier cat.
