I really want a dog when I get more financially secure and want to raise it only on meat (with an occasional egg) supplemented with offal and bones. Ideally I’d feed him twice a day when he’s growing then eventually switch to once a day, maybe even once every two days, depending on activity level, replicating a diet their wolf cousins. Far too many dogs are overweight and owners don’t even realise it.

EVERYONE tells me how shiny and beautiful my dog's coat is, and even how even and food natured she is toward much smaller dogs etc. I attribute it all to high quality raw food PLUS kibble every now and then. I tried taking my dog off dog food and giving I'm raw meat for one month. As a result, his coat has 50% less shine, has developed a bad breath, it's not walking as long as he usually does without getting tired has picked up excess fat weight and may have contracted parasites and some sort of virus or disease which are common risk for any thing that consumes raw meat

I want to change my dogs diet to raw but i have fear when the dog licks my kids if he can spread Salmonela from eating raw chicken. Any idea?
