I provide (essential supplements) Omega oil, vitamins and mineral, prebiotic, turmeric and ginger for my dog who's on raw food and is 7 years old.. I think overall there are holes on our foods that we provide for our dogs. Our soils that we produce our foods have depleted and we need to supply some additional help to add some nutrition to ours and our dogs diet. I agree, we also need to consider the issues our dogs are having and supplement them.

My dog is about 4-5 yrs old. I began Raw Feeding recently. He seemed to have digestive issues on any kind of Kibble and I am concerned about the lack of nutrition in them. The Vet is fine with raw feeding but felt storngly that we need to supplement with : Balance IT® Carnivore Blend I do not know if you are faimiliar with this or not. The dog is a bit fussy a 15 # LH Chihuahua mix and so far will not eat liver or any kind of organs. Am using primarily beef and pork. I do make him homemade bone broth and remove any cooked fat. What you said in the video certainly makes sense but my Vets opinion seems valid also. I am on a Carnivore way of eating also, and do take suppliments. I realize you may never even see this as the video is 11 months old. Thanks in advance

I would like Dog Dads feedback on what your opinion is on what i am doing for my 1 year old Belgian Malinois. I don't think we have any digestive issue but felt it would have an added benefits by giving digestive enzymes by Mercola to help with digestion and many other health benefits . Fish oil, 3x's a week and coconut oil and vitamin E 3x's a week for the many health benefits for my dog. I am not a huge fan of over doing it with supplements. I also feed a kibble meal Acana in the morning and a raw meal in the evening. Snacks are usually raw like chicken feet or meatballs.  Thanks

I tried adding chicken to his raw food diet and his stomach was upset, I slowly tried to add it and still wasnt happy. Does this mean his body does not like the chicken or what do you recommend ?

All diets need supplement. We humans eat a balanced diet and still needs to take a daily multivitamins

I give digestive enzymes by Mercola because I have 3 out of my 4 who are older and my raw skills are not spot on yet... getting better but we are only a year in and my resources for organic meat are scarce at times. My oldest is a poodle who has intolerances to chicken and pork and anything that is local grocery. The enzymes have helped eliminating with ease, movement and general health. Love it. I also give golden paste daily and occasionally fish oil.
