Macro-Friendly, High Protein Honey BBQ Chicken & Mac n Cheese Sandwich
The key to dieting is feeling like you aren’t dieting. This is something that can fit into most people’s daily calorie/macro goals easily - and it’s so over the top indulgent that it will truly make you forget you’re dieting.
The less you feel like you’re dieting, the better.
Per sandwich (makes 2)
575 Calories
52g Protein
69g Carbs
11g Fat
Also - you could easily eat this as a chicken sandwich with a side of Mac! Or add some Mac to the sandwich and eat some on the side 👌
Ingredients:
8oz chicken breast
Salt, garlic, onion, paprika
**Breading stations**
Station 1: Flour + salt/garlic/pepper/smoked paprika
Station 2: Egg whites + hot sauce + BBQ sauce
Station 3: Crushed corn flakes
**For tracking purposes - ~5g of flour sticks to each piece of chicken, and ~15g of cornflakes stick to each, egg whites add negligible calories**
BBQ COATING:
60g bbq sauce
5g honey
Smoked paprika
Chili powder
Cayenne
MAC N CHEESE:
56g Banza Mac n cheese
80g 2% cottage cheese
40g fat free milk
10g cheddar powder*
30g low fat cheddar
*Use packet from boxed Mac n cheese or buy in bulk online
1 toasted brioche bun (mine was 160 calories, use any preferred bun)
Sauce:
90g fat free plain Greek yogurt
30g Sriracha
5g Gochujang (optional)
2 spoonfuls of pickle juice
Top with chives
