Literally got attacked because I was expressing my feelings about my experience as a second wife in a support group and because I noted that the first wife didn’t want me to marry my husband all the sisters started to insult me and say I deserved the stress and pain I was experiencing and belittling me and saying really hurtful terrible things to me. I made istikhara and I loved my husband and I just feel like I didn’t want to give up a man Allah granted me and was a good brother and continues to prove to this day he’s a good Muslim husband and father simply because the first didn’t approve even though it’s not a requirement….if it was such a requirement then…no one would be in polygyny and many beautiful marriages between two people who love each other and that Allah brought together would never exist …
