THE ATOMOS NINJA V - FOR THE SONY USER

This is a Sony shooter's compilation of thoughts and opinions as to why the Atomos Ninja V became an indispensable filmmaking companion. In terms of workflow, introducing this monitor/recorder into my kit was the best idea I've had in awhile.

Please note: This video also contains a small error. The Ninja V does enable the Sony A7iii to record at 8 bit, 4:2:2, giving it slightly more latitude in color grading.

The Atomos Ninja V is the perfect companion for the Sony shooter thanks to hours of recording time, better color grading thanks to ProRes, and an all-around beautiful monitor make the Ninja V my go-to for every kind of shoot.

Very useful video thankyou, as a sony A1 shooter I am looking at purchasing this bit of kit . I currently use a RODE external mic in the hotshoe of the camera when recording . If I buy the Ninga five would the rode mic go into the Ninja or still in the camera for best results ? secondly can you recommend any cold shoe adaptors to connect both the Ninja and the External Mic ?
