I prefer Mate, because I am blind, and Mate is compatible with screen reader more than GNOME and XFCE.

I'll go with XFCE Because

1. I have Old Computer (Year 2012) and planning to use this Computer for upcoming 5 years.
2. XFCE is Stable (I use Debian 12 Stable)
3. I use mobile portable hotspot wifi to connect internet, so frequent heavy update & UI changes is not the right thing for me.
4. I have Old Nvidia GPU which supports only Tesla 470 Driver so I have to stick with X11 No wayland.
5. XFCE is user friendly for New comer from windows, like me.

Used KDE, GNOME, MATE, Cinnamon, LXQT, LXDE but after all this I'll stick with XFCE. (Stable is boring but I'am lazy 😂😅)

I am a bit disappointed.
Gnome, like you mentioned is minimalistic. But Ubuntu's Gnome is heavily customized. I like it, but for a comparison the vanilla Gnome should be used.
Also, in the beginning of the video Gnome is described as memory efficient. But compared to almost all desktop environments it consumes more memory than any other.
Almost every DE nowadays can be configured to look like another. So, for me, choosing a DE is more strategic decision. And there are some arguments in the "Looking ahead" section.

Thank you for the video, this helped me make my decision on desktop environments pretty quickly for someone who cares enough for some visual appeal but just wants a reliable working environment. Video summed things very efficiently.

I have looked at many of these comparison videos and I can only conclude that most people actually don't really understand the difference. The script should not be copied from the sales literature.
It should be written so that a 5-year old can understand it.

I prefer Ubuntu Mate because it has a number of customizable themes and desktop layouts to choose from.

Bla Bla Bla - A lot of words that mean nothing!
I use XFCE, I like it. But Gnome is way ahead implementing wayland.
Wayland is the new way, X11 the old way.

Prefiero XFCE ya que me da todo lo que necesito sin necesidad de instalar extensiones que pueden general el riesgo de romper el sistema gráfico. Gnome es muy limitado y necesita de extensiones para enriquecer las funcions pero eso da riesgo a que se rompa el sistema gráfico.

XFCE is for people who want to customize their desktop perfectly towrds their needs and use it with optimal efficiency.
Gnome is for peope who like how their desktop looks and should bete rhave bought some Crapple product.
