FLOUR TORTILLAS | Step By Step | Tortillas De Harina ❤️

Flour tortillas is something we enjoyed everyday when I was growing up, I could hear my mom rolling them out and that beautiful sound of the rolling pin will stay with me forever. She made them for breakfast and filled them with delicious fillings like a smear of refried beans with bacon and eggs, chorizo and potatoes, huevos a la Mexicano and many others. You can make them bigger for burritos, chimichangas, or enchiladas too, and with just a few ingredients you can make them your own. Along with the right amount of ingredients, practice and letting the dough be soft and moist and letting it sit well covered for about 30 minutes will give you the best tortillas, I hope you give this recipe a try. ❤️

I recently started watching you and today I drove all over town looking for a bowl like you mix your Masa in to make tamales. You’ve inspired me to cook more Mexican with the confidence that it might actually taste good. Thank you for explaining things so well.

I remember coming home from grammer school and finding my mom making flour tortillas. she would make them at 4am to make my father's lunch and at 4pm for dinner. I would ask her if I could help she would say ok roll them. I tried but, they looked like states and then she would tell me go cook them in the comal then I would be burning my fingers and then she would say ok you go

I made these tonight after my husband went to bed. His family is of Hispanic descent and have always made Mexican food by scratch. I didn’t want at him to see if I flubbed them up, but I didn’t! Awesome and delicious! Next are your refried Beans and then Mexican rice! Thank you so much!

I love the way you explain every step clearly. And when you use a Spanish word, you tell us what it means.

Ok girl, here it is. I tried the shortening tortillas the other day. They were very good. A tiny bit salty, but good. I figured out why my tortillas were SO bland. It was the baking powder. I didn't think it changed the taste of the tortillas but IT DOES. I was putting way way too much. I thought it was what made them bubble up. But too much of a good thing wasn't so good. I have tried both recipes, and I wouldn't have guessed it, but I actually think I like the ones with oil better. I've always used vegetable shortening. My whole family ❤️ loves your recipe. My husband said "mm.. they're soft" lol. Ya I had that problem occasionally too. Stiffies. So I think this is it. I have found my new recipe. Thank you so much from my whole family. I love that it is such a simple recipe too. 😋 your the best. I refer to you often. Next one I'm gonna try of yours : those Refried beans girl! I love them. And yours look so good. Ok. Have a blessed day. Thanks again!

Mmmmm😜
I Just walked in the door with a new bag of flour to make tortillas and I have a pot of beans to make refried beans and getting ready to make green chile. I bought fresh roasted green chilie today to put in my freezer. I’m a little excited because I haven’t bought fresh green roasted in about 3 yrs because my husband was SOOO sick. He’s in Heaven now, so in His memory I’m making the Works 😜👩‍🍳
I hope I can still make tortillas 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
