Last night I had my 26 year son over to celebrate his birthday. I made your flour tortillas and Birria taco meat. He loved his birthday dinner! I went to sleep thinking how lovely you are to share your heritage and skills with us. Because of your commitment to teaching and educating us I went to my first Mexican market and found some amazing treasures there including Pizza Doritos and Cinnamon cookies! I learned many years ago to make flour tortillas for my hispanic husband. I made them for my children as well. You are correct, they do not last. Love watching your videos. A lot of stuff wasn't passed on in my family, . Things like making tamales have been lost for the last generation or two. When I make things like tortillas or any other traditional foods, it makes my older family members reminisce. They start telling stories about how their abuela or an old lady that lived down the street always had fresh meals ready for them after school.
