Great response to this "classic" tag. We did our version two years ago as a group. Fairy tales are something I would like to get into, but my range is still a bit limited outside of what we have gone over for the channel. Hans Christian Anderson and The Brothers Grimm are perhaps the ones I am most familiar with, though. Hans Christian Anderson's tales are especially thought-provoking and immersive. I have gotten so much out of what I have read thus far! I am planning to reread Brave New World either late this year or early next year to prepare for a discussion. I have heard that Huxley's concepts are really intriguing as opposed to his writing style. I read this book seven years ago and it was a challenge. I read Crime and Punishment late last year/early this year and it was a great challenge. I thought the book was just okay, though it could be respected for the character study that it lays out. Larry from our channel recommended it for the Big Book Bowl Poll and he loved it! I read Frankenstein in Baghdad as well and what I enjoyed about it was the concept and operation of the Whatsitsname. I was not a fan of Mahmoud, the journalist, because I felt he was too self-indulgent and his story about his love affairs did not interest me. I am interested to learn a bit more about The Beetle, for there should be attention given to the works that were overshadowed, more so long-term as opposed to short-term. That is just like how Marlowe was superior to Shakespeare during his time and yet Shakespeare is the most recognized figure in literature while Marlowe is studied, but not nearly hailed or adapted as Shakespeare is. Congratulations on your engagement! I am so happy for you and your partner! All the best with everything and thank you for sharing your responses to this tag! -Josh

What translators do you have for War and Peace? That can make a big difference. This was a super interesting response to the tag (I love classics but don't know a lot of SciFi) and I'm so glad I found your channel.

One I sorta liked by also didn't like (like some chapters were great but some were so boring) was Great Expectations. I think we spent an entire chapter at a play and I sorta forgot so I was wondering where the heck Hamlet or Macbeth or whoever appeared from XD
