Although your TBR would scare me to death, I love that you have the books you want to read available! I think what mainly stopped me from reading Brave New World is not owning it...probably not, lol ;)

Haha, my class never read The Catcher in the Rye either! We also didn't read To Kill A Mockingbird...!

Have you read Marcel Proust's Remembrance of Things Past? And curiously, William Faulkner never gets mentioned as a favorite, nor Jose Saramago. I recommend all three of them. They are among my favorite authors. Another Portuguese author to read if you have the time is Machado de Assis, his most celebrated work being Dom Casmorro.

My class didn't read The Catcher in The Rye, either. But, I read it last year and I can honestly say, "Shame on the schools that had kids read it." I seriously, loathed it, but would love to know your opinion. I have 451 but after reading Catcher, I'm worried, lol. I might read it this year =)

Haven’t read Catcher myself. I can vouch that Jane Austen lives up to the hype though!

Nineteen Eighty-Four is  one of my favourite dystopians! You should read it soon if you can =)
