I hope you get to Mrs. Dalloway, I love Virginia Woolf! Elizabeth Gaskell is so good too - I finished Wives and Daughters awhile ago and enjoyed it so much!

I LOVE this video! The pretty books section at the end was such a treat! Jude the Obscure is SO dramatic! I was also in shock when I read it, and haven't picked up a Hardy since. I think I will one day though. My classics taste is also basically 19th c. Russian and English lit. I absolutely loved Anna Karenina, but I am so intimidated by War and Peace. You will love Mrs. Dalloway and Tenant of Wildfell Hall and Crime and Punishment! Also, if you wanna read some Dickens I'm going to be reading Hard Times this month as part of Katie from Books and Things' Victorian Lit series (if my copy ever arrives). Katie isn't going to be discussing it chapter by chapter like she does for Our Mutual Friend so I could use someone to discuss it in depth with if you're interested! I'm also going to read Gaskell for the first time this month starting with North and South. If I love her as much as I think I will, I would probably be up for some future Gaskell buddy reads! :D

I am reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall at the moment and it is so good! Although I love Jane Eyre I think Anne Bronte might be the best writer out of the three, she manages to create really vivid images of the landscapes and the characters without making her writing too convoluted. I wouldn't say I loved Lord of the Flies but I didn't mind it, though it's definitely overhyped. This tag seems like a lot of fun I might have to make a video myself! :)

I really really want to read War and Peace too but I am so afraid of overcoming the beast on my own. I have been talking about picking it up soon for months now so maybe I should really pick it up in few months. It is just... so massive but Anna Karenina is one of my favourite books so I know that I like Tolstoy's writing.

Just from your excellent & most fun video, classics I need to read: W&P, Anna K, The Idiot, Tenant of WH, Tale of 2 Cities (all on my shelf). Need to re-read: Jude the Obscure (loved the drama!), C&P (ditto), Lord of the Flies (might've been too young when I read these). Read recently: Mrs. Dalloway. And you seemed to enjoy yourself too much doing this. Speaking of classics, I've noticed Terry Pratchett loitering on your shelf as well -- need to read!

Omg, I feel you so hard on the Hobbit films. Just, ew. I loved Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Hardy, but I read it in a class where it was being related to all this art theory we were studying. So maybe that's why I was into it. I do remember it being a bit over the top, though (in the same sort of vein of why I edge away from Shakespeare). ALSO I feel weird saying this here, but I tagged you in the Spring Reading Tag but couldn't find you on Twitter? Just letting you know! Sending lots of love! xxxx Angelica

Lol I actually do like Lord of the Flies. I think it actually reflects high school dynamics and the worst of what we have to offer. Taken to that point, I feel a lot of people would show their true colors. I also want to read War and Peace though it is a bit daunting lol. I'm a big fan of the Hobbit and couldn't get past the first one lol. It's nice to hold up pretty books btw lol :) happy reading
