By far the best YouTube channel for Volvo repairs. Expertly explained, filmed correctly for DIY, great advice and techniques. Please don't stop! Yet again this video has helped me with ease.

It's great how you explain how to check if mount number two is bad using the pin technique.

Thank you Robert for your videos! I own a 2000 v70 xc and had to replace the side lower motor mount (behind the passenger wheel) as well as remove the driveshaft. Your videos were dead on with the proper way to do them an the tools needed for the job. Thank you again!

I really, really appreciate your videos.  You saved me $800 when I replaced that heater core (I think that's what it's called - kind of like a small radiator) took me just an hour and cost me $30.

Have a 1999 V70XC-AWD 2.4T. I asked you about the oil lines for the turbo, and ended up getting them just not on yet. Isnt tooo bad yet. After going threw 3 brand new starters (all $220, good thing we had warrantys) we replaced with a $50 used genuine and shes back on the road. Problem lately, is a WICKED death wobble under hard acceleration. When we let off the gas, goes away. Trying to decide if its the engine mount, or passenger drive front shaft.. Just wondered if youve encountered this and if you have any pointers.

Someone has suggested to me that loosening the motor mount below the belts and lifting the motor an inch will help when installing the timing belt and getting it past the auxiliary pulley onto the smaller crank sprocket. What do you think of this advice? Would this put too much stress on the remaining 2 mounts?

Do you need to support the transmission with a jack when you change out the lower transmission mount? Thanks!

Great video Robert. Is there any way to diagnose if the big rubber mounts (front and rear) also need to be replaced? i slightly lifted engine from oil pan with a board, started car and put in gear, vibration at steering wheel gone. Now trying to figure which ones need replacing.

The compressor clutch has lost its proper gap. It is having a hard time re-engaging after it kicks off for power reasons. Watch my "Pre-Purchase Things To Check" video, it may be #3.

Hello Robert/Volvo Friends, My car had been thumping when stationary and moving the shifter from R to D. Sometimes a hard thump and somtimes barely noticeable. Mechanic said it is about $200 for parts (3 motor mounts) and 2.5 hours of labor. He says one was shot, one was pretty bad, and one I am not sure about. Does that sound about right for "book labor?" Total estimate is $425. I am also hoping this eliminates the vibration I was experiencing while doing about 50-60mph. I thought it was probably time for some spin balancing but see that it could have been something far more serious. Any thoughts?

Hi Robert, thanks for the videos. On the upper torque mount connected to the firewall. Do you have to remove the plastic shield that the wiper motors go through to access the two nuts? I am assuming yes but I want to make sure.

Thanks Jon P.

Hey RobertGood video. I wanted to know how you know when you need a motor mount replaced. I actually just put new suspension on my 2000 V70 and so i'm feeling more vibration when driving because of new suspension but it seems like a little more vibration than normal. Any thoughts?

would the transmission torque mount cause the car to kind of jerk sometimes when taking off or slowing down.
