Bartenders being able to cut off your alcohol consumption is a plus in my book. Having a few drinks is great, but drunk passengers are the most annoying thing about a cruise. They get loud and aggressive and puke on the decks (and sometimes in the pools).

I always use anytime dining and never had to wait except on tiny lobster night, where I waited about 5 minutes if that. I was told 6 to 7:30 were the busy times, so we ate before or after. Ask the person at the entrance when the good times are.

Don't wait for a dinner at the main dining room, there are other places you can eat that are just as good with no wait.

Leave TWO days before, especially if you have to fly. Flights CAN get canceled.

Oh yes - "My time dining" on a smaller ship of RCC came with annoying lines. Even for the people who had made a reservation. I changed to first seating and then walked to my table. 😉

Especially on carnival I’ve seen them refuse service many times. Once on royal Caribbean this older white dude was trying the bar staff so security stepped up. White dude flicked his cigar at security and got jumped by 6 Indonesians 😂 taken off to cruise jail.

We called the RCL cruise planner since we had a credit we wanted to use. By doing this, we were given several discounts that we were never given when we booked online.

Anytime dining on Cunard ( 3 cruises so far) we went at 7 and never had to wait more than a minute for a table for two.

Internet is sketchy because we are at sea. Starlink is improving that. I always get anytime dining and I have only waited on lobster night.

Royal Caribbeans wifi was more than acceptable, was getting almost 10mbps download. Also if u have a samsung phone u can share the wifi thru ur mobile hotspot so u dont have to purchase multiple internet packages 🤫

If the ship has Starlink for internet it is really good. If it hasn't upgraded to Starlink you might still want to avoid. Most of the Royal ship now have Starlink.
