My wife and I waited to book a 14-day Mediterranean cruise within a month of it departing, and in an effort to fill all the rooms they drastically dropped their prices. We got our tickets for 440 dollars a person.

Definitely buy traveler insurance. My husband passed away before our scheduled cruise and Carnivals Insurance offered me a refund or an all inclusive balcony room, drink card and and gave me 18 months to use it. I took our daughter to the Yucatán Peninsula and we saw the sun come up on Easter Sunday across the vastness of ripple waters.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer a week before our trip to the Dominican Rep. we had to cancel. Thank god we had insurance.❤️🇨🇦

Make sure that the travel insurance covers medical and, if necessary, medical travel repatriation back to your home country. You don't want to be trapped in a foreign hospital as the ship leaves port.

Travellers insurance is so cheap and totally worth it.

It still amazes me how these giant cruise ships still float with all that weight

#1 Find out where the lifeboats are and be the first into a boat if there is an accident.

I have been on the MSC seascape and damn… I am just lost for words. It was INCREDIBLE. From everything to the food, the activities and locations I went to. If you have never cruised before, I highly recommend it!

Another tip if you live far away from any ports don’t go on a flight the same day the boat leaves. Many people missed their ride because the plane got delayed or cancelled.

Pro tip: if you travel more than ounce per year DO consider annual travel insurance instead of buying it per trip. It saves you a hella lot of money, plus all your trips are insured! Even it's just a weekend getaway

I use Verizon unlimited and pay an extra $10.00 a day on my bill. I had two emergencies on my last cruise.

I can’t recommend travel insurance enough, especially when going out of the country. Just had a friends mom go on a cruise to the Dominican Republic, got sick, was on life support, no travel insurance and they wanted like $100k for medical treatment and a medical flight back to the US

In December, me and my family were on NCL Epic, it was a really nice ship, the traveler insurance was needed when my dad lost his glasses at St. Maarten which was one of the stop's on our ship.

I love the MSC cruises! Had my best cruise experience for 30 days on an MSC ship from Hamburg to Svalbard and back when I was 8. ❤

Bring something to put on your cabin door like a Decoration. The cabins all look alike.

Instead of airplane mode, you can turn off roaming, which will prevent use of cellular when you're in an area not covered by your carrier

As someone in the phone industry he's right please put your phone on airplane mode when on a cruise I don't feel like getting yelled at when you have a high bill

Simple tip. If you can, just pop out your phone's Sim Card and buy a local Sim Card . I usually did this when travelling abroad.

My friend forgot to pop out their sim card when we went 18 days abroad. The Bill charhed to her WAS INSANE. $23, 548. Luckily, the provider was able to generously half the bill because of her circumstances, but still!!
