A simple video this week about the ways running has changed my life. Hope you like it!

I want this channel to be a place of inspiration and storytelling for everyone to listen to, whether it be about running or anything else! I am very new to this vlogging/editing videos thing, so I'm still trying to get better with all the little stuff, but please feel free to leave some constructive criticism in the comments or let me know what video you want to see next!

What's a habit you've formed that's changed your life for the better?

Running without distractions, no music, no podcasts... me, alone with my thoughts and being aware and appreciating of what’s around me. I used to joke that I ran because it was a way to listen to music now I run because it’s the best & cheapest psychologist out there.

running helped me through my drug addiction, everytime i felt down and sad i would just slip into my running shoes and go for a jogg to clear my mind and such.

I have been dealing with depression and such my whole life and just recently I decided to go out to see a counselor and actually do something about it. They suggested that I should start running so for the past 3 months now I have ran almost everyday and have gotten my mile time down to 7:30 which I am pretty proud of. Your channel always reminds me to stay motivated and shows me what I could become if I continue running so thank you for all that you have done.

The bond with runners is truly special, it's like we know how painful sometimes it is, so we encourage other as well. Inspiring video!

I started running not to much. Then i started getting more & more hungry for it. Im Native and my people back in the old days. Were spirit runners, we never used horse's. Now when i run i think of my ancestors. And how its in our blood to run. I worked my way up to 3 miles. Its fun, i use to hate running for being a big guy. I lost 80 lbs. Getting a breath of fresh air. I enjoy it now, at least once a week i make sure I run. I make the time. Thanks my brother keep running. Its always a joy to see people running. Keep running my brothers & sisters✊🏃

At age 45 (last year, 2019), I ran my first marathon (VANCOUVER MARATHON). It was very very hard (especially the last 30km). I was tempted many many times along the way to JUST QUIT. Legs are hurting. Left toe thumbnail dying. But, I just cannot quit because my wife and son are waiting for me at the finish line. That was the only thing that kept me going and finish the marathon…WIFE AND SON ARE WAITING ON THE FINISH LINE…I did not want to disappoint them… I finished it with 6 hours and 15 minutes. It took a week to recover my normal walk.
Then I had some thinking after that and thought “Hmmm, I think I can do better.” And so I started running again to train for the next marathon. From 10 minutes run every after 2 days (that was my training last year for 6 months before the marathon. I was so dumb.)..to..1 hour run every after 2 days.
Now it’s a habit (that I will feel sick if I missed a run). And doing all these runs and getting better at it (current record at 8 minutes per mile and at least 1 session of 13-mile run in the mix once a week), I am getting a better perspective in life. I feel better and happier. I am becoming more creative and confident. And I am becoming more kinder and more patient person. I feel more relaxed and I can think clearly.
Unfortunately, the Vancouver Marathon 2020 was cancelled due to COVID. I was registered for it. And my wife asked me if I am disappointed. And I answered: "Not a bit. Because I am not doing all these long runs to train for marathon. I am doing it because it's my lifestyle now."

I’m 52, 277 pounds last week. I haven’t ran sine high school, until last week. I’m doing a walk to run program and forgot how much I love running. I have lost 8 pounds so far and changed my diet as well. Just starting but don’t plan to stop. Thanks for the video. Heaven helps the man who fights his fears- Kenny loggins

I’ve been running for 28 years, where and when I’m running is still my first decision of the day. Usually the days that I don’t feel like running turn out be my best runs. Nothing better than a nice long run to clear your head and charge your soul. I have run the circumference of the planet in my life time and headed back around again, and looking back that’s huge. Journal your runs, you will be glad you did. Born to run 💜🏃‍♀️💚🏃‍♀️🇨🇦

Last year when I was 155 pounds of almost all fat. I started running for wrestling and would run 2 miles in about 24 minutes. After a little over a year, I’ve gotten my best mile to 5:44. I got 4th place at my first ever 5k with a time of 19:54!!

Running has allowed me to appreciate the small details in life. Things such as a nice breeze, a small downslope, a friend honking as the drive by always give me a little pop in my step. This in turn has allowed me to see the little things that add to life in every day situations.

When running alone, it enables me to spend time making inventory of things that I am grateful for and things I still want to make happen.
Second is Health..

I had a heart attack at 60. Very embarrassing. Now I am learning again to ride my bike, takes time to earn muscle. I’m so grateful to be able to ride my bike, and move. See nature, I love it. I like watching channels like this to motivate and inspire. Thanks.

I have lost 20 lbs over the past year and have 70 lbs more to go. Over the past three months I have started to hike through the Maine woods. About three weeks ago I started running. It’s all I think about. I hope that the love that I feel now for running will grow. I now run through the Maine woods and never want to stop. I understand now what all the fuss is about and I’m sorry that I didn’t do it sooner. Wish me luck.

Running has changed my life too, only recently though. A few months ago I was so frustrated with .. life basically, that I just needed to let off some steam. I felt a lot better, went running more often and now 5 months later I can run 11km! ran over 50km in May, and its not even over yet. For the first time in my life I am proving myself that I am capable of something if I put my mind to it. If I can do this, who knows what more I'm capable of? ready to find out
