Running has been something so consistent throughout my life. I talk about my journey and relationship with how I viewed running as a collegiate lacrosse player to now having just signed up for my first half marathon.

My work gets really depressing, running has helped me escaped that mentality and brought the joy of competition back in my life that I lost for a long time

I run for 12 years already and I agree, it changed my life, too.
Last year I started running in the morning, before work. At first it was difficult, but after a while it worked very well and I even can do intervals in the morning now.
Keep it going! As they say: The most important thing about training is that it happens. 🙂
Consistency is key.

Agree, Eleanor. When did I start loving running? When I stopped racing. I don't need paid events, bibs, or butterflies in my tummy. I need breezes, the feeling of moving, running with friends, , and the sun on my skin. I wrote on my Strava profile:: "Let's run together. I will never remember your pace or my pace, ...but I will never forget you.." ✨

Yeah I so agree. I love running now. As a soccer player I definitely experienced running as a punishment as well. The "It's not refundable" moment is so true lol.

Life is a journey. Running and other aerobic exercise, despite injuries and various twists and turns along the way, definitely promotes good health and a better quality of life. All the best!

Watching a bunch of running videos and came across yours.

First, your accent is pretty cool. Not sure where it's from, but it's nice.

Second, I totally agree about anyone MAY change their life. I been in a fitness routine since November and to see where I'm at now to where I was last year in April 2023.
Not even close to the same person. So, respect to you for fighting through things in your life and finding consistency in running. Congrats.

You are on a good way. I'm fighting with depression and burnout and running is my medication and remedy. I recommend reading Spark from John Ratey to understand the deep roots of sport and running in our human existance. I'm proud of you.
