At first, you might hold them accountable more than you will in the future​. This is because you trust them more. 3.) Speed. You want somebody who works speedily and efficient. It is very important that startup workers get things done fast. As Patrick has talked about in previous videos, Start-up Entrapaneurs make quick descisions. This is an advantage, but it means your workers need to be quick as well. 4.) Personal Development. You want somebody who is committed to getting better. This leads to efficiency.

Hi Pat, interesting video, different perspective. In my opinion here is how I hire, I may not hire for experience, but I do hire for personality traits, like: smart, independent, loyal, self motivated, wants to improve him/herself, wants to improve the work environment. During my business experience I have started a few companies from the ground up and raised millions $$$ through venture capital funds. I had no time to train and no time to babysit. I needed people that I can trust and they can pick up and run!
