How is the correct way to connect these wires?

In Taiwan they also use this kind of connections. To maintaining them is awful. The old electrical tape is keeping moisture at the copper and if removing it is everytime enough sticky residue on the cables to crap your hands every time. The oxidized copper cables can spark or create other problems.

Yeah no, this isnt it. Way too risky. I am very happy about the codes and regulations we have in Germany. I am sure it works fine like this, but i still wouldnt risk anything

Funny that you use pipes for better change cables after installing them but use very old method from 1899 for put them together. 😮

If you soldered the wires together I would be at least partially willing to turn a blind eye but relying on 6 twists and some electrical tape is inexcusable.

if needed to be done, the only way would be how my dear Neighbours to the West the Dutch do it.
I think the connector is called Lasdoppen(Sorry for butchering it)
Provides more mechanical support and can be taken Apart.
if done right it is also safe to touch but leaves an opening to measure with standard Tools.

Greetings from North western Germany

We would use outlets which got two connection points for each wire so we can connect the wires in a row without using any connectors
The outlet is our connector

It is wonderful, and it's also dat wire twisting is strong for electrical contact, 👍🏾😎 less connection of using wire twisters, bare connector's 💯💡

Interesting, not servicefreindly and tooks too long to build. my advise: use Wago 221. fast, safe and the most common thing like in germany.. every electrician will be happy😊

you method is ok, connection is good if you drill that hard with tools but maby use shrinking tube, ist better. the tape will bi slippry after some months..

You could use stranded wire and solder it that's what we do in Australia. If you use use shrink wrap it can be abit quicker for insulation quick tip. 🙂 Love your craft though keep it going

I'm using big junktion boxes inside the ceiling of every room. I'm from Germany and I bring the wago connectors to Bali, Indonesia. Even with the low labor here, it's much faster. And I can change it anytime easily. My bathroom has a movement sensor with two LED Strip 70 cm. To go to the toilet at night, not too bright. Then there's another 8 meters LED strip and two spotlights 3.000k with a switch. And another switch with strong 4.000k LED downlights. And another switch with the mirror lights.
I've changed this many times until it was perfect. Like the rest of the house. I can easily play, like Lego. All connectors in my house cost less than 200$. It's worth it.

I’d probably use some wago levernuts but to each his own Buddy. ❤ still love watching your videos

For me, the better way is doing all wire joints at joint boxes instead of wire outlets from other outlet boxes.

What I find rather fascinating about your videos is that you do all this incredibly neat conduit work etc and that has what seems to be some rather strict rules to it (according to some other videos you had where the apprentice failed inspection because the bend was not exactly right?) and then a junction box where wires are simply hand twisted together & taped is not an issue for code?

Like some guys said, i would probably do soldering+ shrink slieve in my country. Not enough money for terminals on every wire 😂

My two sence. I love how neat your work is. I don't have a lot of knowledge in your country of origin electrical codes. Like you said, you can connect wires in lots of good and safe different ways. But what kind of rubs me. Is that electrical tape. Even the best of them brake down over time. Pluss there are so many better options. Why the electrical tape? Besides, electrical is in the name.

Electrical tape is only good for temporary insulation. In long term the adhesive will degrade.

I've opened up 10-40 yr old homes with electrical junctions in way worse shape and the owner never reported any electrical problems or failures

I really like that almost each circuit has his designated pipe.
The downside of twisting is that if you need to make changes, you need to cut the wires.

i would never use PVC tape for a permanent installation because it can fail in time.

heatshrink would be the preferred insulating material.

Realy great work with the tubes, and than this!? Use wago connectors!
