Interestingly enough, the little black lentils are not only my favorite, but the ones I eat daily. Glad to know I picked a winner....

I’d say eat a variety if you can find it! All beans and lentils are tasty and each has unique flavor and texture.

My Parental background is Cypriot, mum used to cook various beans/lentils in so many various ways. My favorite was Black eyed beans boiled, drained and put to side. then chopped onions and a bell pepper fried lightly, in virgin olive oil then the black eyed beans in the same pan with spinach a little water, reduce heat cover and simmer for 10mins, it's ready to serve with seasoning to taste and fresh lemon juice, really stunning & healthy.

Thanks. I thought it is a lentil, small with a big surface area, but never saw baluga lentils. Thank you for your informative, short videos!

I live in the US and I buy beluga lentils at my local Target. It comes in plastic packaging, already cooked, just the lentils and minimal water, no other ingredients. They're delicious!! 😋

I mix the different beans (usually 2-3 different ones, but sometimes more) and eat it that way.

In the US, or anywhere else in the world if you are serious about eating beans and lentils, a stovetop or better even electric pressure cooker is worth the investment. Then it’s super cheap to cook your own and no worries about sodium content.

Why would you buy canned beluga lentils when they cook so easily? Better to buy them dry, since that would be vastly cheaper, right? No added salt concerns that way either.

Lupini, endamame and mature soybeans are typically cited as being the most nutrient dense beans on earth.

Variety is the key, your gut microbiome loves variety & a healthy gut microbiome is the key to health. in fact studies you should aim to eat 30 different plant based foods a week to maximise your gut microbiome. Sounds a lot but includes herbs & spices & you'd be surprised how quickly you can reach this figure.

Great video as always, thank you! Definately gonna be adding Beluga lentils to my diet! I also reccommend having a variety of beans due to different protiens in each, you need a variety of proteins to make up complete proteins.
