It's not a "diet' at all. It's just good food that tastes good and makes you feel good.

It’s also basically the same diet as most middle eastern people have, but with different flavor profiles, so there’s an incredibly large pool of recipes to choose from

The dr. Suggested to go on the diet, absolutely loved it, plus it isn’t a diet, it’s a way of life. Lost weight, however, stopped doing it, put the weight back on, 2024 going to start it again.

I have been on this way of eating for just over 2 weeks. I love it, such awesome flavours and I'm never hungry.

When I was in Spain the food was delicious and very varied. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Olive oil is used a lot there. Spaniards do eat bread and potatoes and eat some fast food but overall their lifestyle is much healthier than ours in the US.

I suffer from chronic migraines. For the last 8 years, it slowly got worse. So along with seeing my neurologist, I began the lifestyle because I'd heard good things in relation to migraines. I have omitted a few foods my body just can't do, but other than that, it's been very yummy, and I dont feel restricted at all. I already preferred vegetables since childhood so I was fine in that area. I even follow a few Mediterranean food blogs that use this lifestyle and tonight made a Greek Shepards pie with some ground turkey I had left over. I couldn't fine ground chicken, oddly. But it's a delicious dish. As for my migraines, they have gotten shorter and less intense. I started this lifestyle in August after a severe migraine that sent me to the ER for a cat scan the month before. I do take meds, though, but I have seen improvements with the new lifestyle.

I enjoyed your program. As mentioned, the food is delicious however I gained weight and it pushed me into a pre-diabetic state 😢
I'd love your thoughts on why or what you think went wrong for me ... thanks

Reasons why diets don’t work, you get to your target and stop. Hence why making permanent lifestyle changes are the key, e.g eating like a Mediterranean. That being said please remember to treat yourself every now and then

I’ve mostly been eating this way with a bit of tweaks (adding some things that are more Okinawan, I suppose…or maybe just more “Eastern” (since I do not have any Okinawan roots…or any Japanese roots? For that matter) so that I won’t look like I’m completely ignoring my heritage completely.

It is NOT plant based, and the fat is NOT mostly unsaturated! French, Italians and Greeks eat an average of a pound of cheese a week. That is a lot of cheese! It does not come from plants, and it is very high in saturated fat. Why do people ignore the huge amount of cheese in the med diet?
