Getting the deal you wanted and then fake getting up and leaving to “think about it” just gave me PTSD bro… like I’m about to have nightmares of this

What he indirectly says is the best tip of all.

Get quotes from multiple dealerships!

I was 1% over on negative equity with a navy fed pre approval. They wouldn’t lower the price the 1k I needed to be approved. So I sat in there lobby all day watching YouTube and eating there snacks. Told them they can’t trespass me because I’m still in the middle of signing paperwork aka doing business. Eventually after 3 days of that and no one else offering in the car they cut there losses and I have a brand new Audi s3 😂

Nobody loves the dealer, i go to whatever dealer has the lowest price

Don’t buy cars often but when I do, I request the manager in the room to cut the deal. Nobody leaves until we agree or not on a number. Know your numbers prior and have your financing lined up BEFORE stepping in the ring and stick to your guns.

I do sales, I enjoy negotiating with people who know how to negotiate, there's an art to it.
Showing up to a dealer and just saying "well whats your best price" is the laziest shit.

When they come back and immediately take the deal you offered, you know they have more to give.

50k for a car is insane to me, especially a newer one that isn't longevity tested by real people to find the things the engineers missed, ignored, or got wrong.

If the competitor has it listed for a lower price then a smart shopper will buy it there. When I was selling I would always encourage them to do so, better to get it off the market.

Remember when "leftover" cars got real discounts? I bought my 2021 vette in 2022 for 30k off. From 122k to 92k

I negotiated my car to 10k below market value at the end of 2022. Had it posted for 52 and walked out for 41.9 with the ceramic and all weather mats and extended warranty. Smooth talking and a little Rizz brought my price down 😎

That's awesome that the other dealership is "discounting it" Mr customer. But if you don't mind me asking, why didn't you just go to them?

2k off is nothing special at all. It’s not really a deal until you’re paying less than MSRP total out of pocket even after financing.

Serious question. Why is Carvana higher trade in value than dealership? Both places will just resell the car.

My dad took me in to negotiate buying my first car when i turned 18, I had saved my birthday money and work money since I was 6 and took a year off b4 college. had enough saved up to buy a new car, negotiated over 10, 000 off the sticker!! Pre covid days were something else. Forever thankful for everything he taught me!

No way a dealer comes back and says sure we will do that! There will be a bunch more back and forth unless the dealer was able to go much lower.
