I still have my 1988 HJ75 Landcruiser trayback. I have no intention of getting rid of it because it does not beep at me!
It is in immaculate condition even tho I regularly take it 4x4 driving. Looking after a car means it will last. I have had it rebuilt 3times with all rust cut or the panel replaced. All the glass has now been replaced as well. When I get it serviced I always have old and worn replaced with new genuine.
Oh by the way, I'm in Australia and the LC has just shy of 800, 000ks on the clock. I did change the engine at 500, 000ks not because the old one was worn out. But because I wanted a turbo. So I got a HT100 from Egypt that is actually 10yrs younger than the car. It has had a bit of a rest in the last 2yrs with not a lot of work to do while I have been unwell. But soon it will be towing a 35ft trailer full time. Can't beat a good toyota.

the land cruiser .. sad that Toyota priced them out of the us market, they where to much luxury car than the basic base model GX 2 row cloth seats 18" rims no sunroofs that auz, and other parts of the world get and where priced in the $70k range might of sold more, id buy it over the defender or new bronco
