Don't expect any benefit from meditation #sadhguru

Показать описание
If you don't understand this critical insight, you will pursue meditation and spirituality to make "your" life better or to "gain" something.
Which becomes a very self-defeating process.
Meditation is essentially about dissolving your self, it is not about gaining any benefits.
It is another matter that once you begin the process of self-dissolution, all the other benefits come as a shadow.
But why is meditation about self-dissolution?
The self that you currently take yourself to be is just an accumulation of various things.
That is not who you really are.
Meditation is a way to dis-identify yourself from all the things that you are not so that you can realise the truth about your own self.
It is a journey from falsehood to truth.
From darkness to light.
This spiritual process might feel complex if you are unconsciously establishing and strengthening your self through your "spiritual efforts."
Now, you are doing exactly the opposite of what you were supposed to do.
You have to put in the effort to remove the cobwebs of ignorance and darkness within you, but at the same time, you have to ensure that this process doesn't strengthen your self.
Because the goal is self-dissolution.
So the way you need to approach your spiritual process is that you do whatever is needed, and at the same time, you remain out of your own life.
You put in the right effort but don't bother about what it will bring to you.
