I wonder if we now of complications due to "too much space" too. X'D I feel like things have changed slightly and there's smaller discomforts. Aaaand I'll be damned if I go back. Nope. Nope I'm so glad it's gone, the endometriosis out, the cramps n blood mess and unwanted pregnancy fears gone. It's bliss!

My uterus was 18 cm with fibroids. I just had a hysterectomy two weeks ago.

You are absolutely right. My uterus was embedded with fibroids and had grown into the size of a woman who’s 7 mos pregnant, plus I had a huge fibroid the size of a melon that had grown from a stem outside of the uterus. It was so large that it was tucked right under my liver and we all know how high up our liver is. Once I had my uterus and the fibroid that was outside of my uterus removed I stopped having to urinate every 30mins. I had to deal with that throughout the pandemic and finally in the summer of 2022 I had my surgery. I feel so much better.

I just had my hysterectomy this past Thursday, two days at this point. So far I’ve only got pain in my incisions. Mine was done via the DaVinci robot. The pain in the incisions is nothing compared to the pain the fibroids were causing. Or the bleeding for that matter. It sucks and it’s scary when you feel like you’re going to pass out just because you’re on your period.

I just had a hysterectomy on Friday. I had so many fibroids that they couldn't see my ovaries on the ultrasound. My doctor said I looked 20 weeks pregnant. The extremely heavy bleeding, the clots, the cramps are worth having a hysterectomy. My insides are settling into their new positions. Lots of gas, but I'm looking forward to having a better quality of life.

I had to go to physical therapy after my hysterectomy because I became incontinent. My bladder got loose. Pelvic floor physical therapy was very helpful though.

I had a total hysterectomy 12 years ago and it was the absolute best decision I e ever made in my life. I wish they had let me do it when I was 30, it would have saved me from a decade of pain and suffering.

When my mom had hers over a decade ago, they didn’t realize just how many fibroids there actually were and how big they were until the doctors were in surgery. She had her hysterectomy laparoscopically, but if they had known just how severe these fibroids were, they said they would’ve had to cut open her abdomen. Somehow they were able to successfully do it how they had originally planned, but they said they were very surprised 😅

I made the mistake of having a fibroid embolisation. A hysterectomy would have been better.

I literally am 6 weeks post op today. One of my fibroids out of 12 was 8 lbs 6 ozs, I pretty much delivered a baby, my son was 8 lbs 4 ozs. I feel fantastic now but that was one heck of a healing process!!!

Does anyone else get really sick right before your period ? To the point that you can't go to work? I tried the pill..no help. My gyno now wants to put me on the coil, but I don't see the point if the pill did not work. I am so frustrated. I feel like my life is slipping away.

I had my hysterectomy because my uterus had enlarged due to the size of the fibroids and and I had a tumor on the back of it that the doctors didn't notice until after they started taking out my uterus. I also had a cyst on my right Ovary the size of a grapefruit. I had to pee all the time because the uterus and right ovary were pushing down on my bladder and the rectum. It's been 3 weeks since my surgery and I do not have either of these problems anymore.
I still have pain from the surgery but the pain seems to move from my lower abdomen to where they cut me. I have no regrets doing it and I'm looking forward to be completely recovered.

My friend had a hysterectomy and gets a gush coming out when she stands up. The bowel drops into the place where the uterus used to be and the vaginal canal Slopes backwards and gathers her discharge. All of the self-cleansing happens at once. These are the kinds of things that people should be told about. Education is wisdom

Had abdominal surgery last month. The urge to pee was still there for a good two weeks after surgery. That slowly got better to where I can go a bit longer without having to pee so often. The constipation was a problem after surgery. The first few days was awful, however, that slowly got better as well, though they (the bm’s) are not nearly as easy as they were for me pre-surgery. All I can say is, hydrate hydrate hydrate. It really does help. Yes, that means peeing often, unfortunately.

I’m not back to my old self as it hasn’t even been a month yet, but the incision/surgery pain subsided substantially after 3 weeks. ❤

I had my hysterectomy for endometriosis and I had small fibrroids and found a small cancer on my cervix. Thankfully tge cancer was very early so the hysterectomy treated it. I was a DES daughter so all this was a result of tgat.

I just had a hysterectomy a few days ago with the DaVinci and I was up and walking after a few hours post op. Not in much pain and now a few days out I’m nearly back to normal! It’s amazing and I feel a lot better :) Mine was about the size of a 5mo pregnancy

I had a hysterectomy a year and a half ago because I had non stop bleeding for two months and intermittent bleeding every two weeks for four months prior to that with no explanation. Best decision ever!
