The way you both talk about retirement is not only inspiring but also incredibly motivating. You break things down in a way that’s easy to understand and make planning for the future feel achievable instead of overwhelming. Your energy and passion for teaching really shine through in every video. And love the honesty!

Oh my gosh! This is so timely! My hubs and I are going through something similar right now. Argh! 7 months into retirement and we're both on each other's nerves! Yes! Need to keep some of our separate/independent activities.

You guys are hilarious! I know you’re serious about these issues but I also know you will work through everything and find your happily ever after! But in the meantime you are quite funny to watch. I know! I have a sick sense of humor. Maybe some day you’ll look back and watch and see what I mean. 😅 Best wishes for a speedy resolution!

Everyone needs their own space sometimes. We both have our separate priorities in life but that’s okay because we make it work. I don’t think we could move that far from family but I would enjoy that warm Florida sunshine in the winter months.

Some wonderful tips that I learned from Tony Robbins. Assuming good intent, knowing that your partner is not doing the things that they’re doing to hurt you ask yourself what else could this mean… Try to look at things through your partners eyes. I think being kind to each other is the most important part of marriage..

We can relate..what is saving us is to study our Bible together. We read something or watch a video, then take a walk a few times a week and talk about our thoughts. Reminds us of when we first dated 35 years ago and picked each others brains. We’ve grown so much with this and there’s security there knowing that each has the others best interest at heart. Love your show and your honesty, praying for you 🙏❤️

I enjoy your videos and like how you guys are open and honest (and funny) about different phases of retirement. I will be starting a channel soon and will have my husband join me for some videos. Thanks for setting a good example and keep up the good work! 😊

Good luck maneuvering around marital bumps in the road. I think your open communication, even if it is in public, will help avoid accidents.

Thanks for sharing! We are retiring - my husband on 12/31/24 of running his own business, and me on 1/31/25 at a state university. I can already tell he is getting nervous about the possibility of being joined at the hip 24/7, which I don't think is good for either of us. We intend to rent our house out for 18 months and live on the other side of the country to sightsee, etc., then settle down either here or somewhere else. I think it is a good idea to carve out, IDK, maybe 2 days a week that is alone time, off limits to all obligations except for personal projects. Again, thanks! I really enjoy your videos and am so glad I found you. BTW - My sister and her retired husband bought a house in Naples last April. They intend to snowbird between FL and NJ.

Great advice. I’m about to go part time next week and we’ll be spending a lot of time together. I am nervous but your advice helps me think it can work.

Thank you for this video. We are in your same age and retirement demographic. I watch every one of your videos. I must admit, I was not surprised at what you shared. Lately, there seems to be some tension between the two of you. Wondering if you need to take a break together to rest and reset before you buy another home and have to begin that stressful process all over again. Just a thought. Love your YouTube content, and it is really helpful. It is a great service. I do hope it is financially beneficial compared to the time and stress it requires from you. Take care of yourselves and thank you. 🍁
