Two things i learned from this channel. #1. Patience is everything. #2. There is no such thing as a perfectly flat surface, just the illusion of one, if you feather and adhere to rule #1

Maaaan, it's amazing how many of your videos have helped me. Every bit of advice is worth listening to. I often force myself to do both sides at the same time, with only limited success.

Man you make it all look so easy! Started my first project a few months ago - hanging went great, mudding not so much - but your tips have certainly been useful, so thanks for all of your great videos.

My solution is a corner trowel. Do both sides with one pass. For small repairs done by a home owner, your way works. If you're doing more than a few small repairs, buy the proper tools because they save hours.

Make sure to cover the electrical boxes in mud as well

Corner trowel to apply and lay down then feather each side off with a 6.

Come back next day knock down the 2 ridges left by 6 and done. Perfect 90

Just watched your corner one with tape and wool roller, both are simple, fast and perfect, without irrelevant information...the teacher we all wish for. I'm renovating my house so, subscribed for future situations.

That is a good tip and true for most. I have been successfully doing both sides at the same time, but it does require a very steady hand. I have found the key is to first do the side where your knife can slide under the other piece of drywall (even when taped it does). Then do the side that buts over that piece. This minimizes any mud lines, which should be small/thin enough to sand out.
Thanks for your videos. I always learn something.

Plasterers use an inside corner tool for that application.

That's how I do it. I threw the corner tool away a long time ago. Good job

What I’ve learned from watching videos like this is that it takes years of practice to make it look this easy, and that texture makes us all look amazing😂

Of course, let one side set up first. Patience is hard sometimes, but a worthy virtue. Cheers!

I am not a professional, but have used a corner trowel. It does help in the first coat or two, but the best corner is doing it this way... letting one side dry first.
