I have asthma. You won’t believe how difficult it is to explain to people that yes, them smoking will trigger it. At this point in my life I just threatened to send them my hospital bill and that got a lot of people (especially family) to back off. Some people are just on a different plane of dumbassery.

The group of just-about-to-be-new-fathers who were told not to shake their respective babies, and the one father said it must be cultural differences and that everyone shakes their babies where he's from? I suspect the semantics confused him, and that he was interpreting "don't shake your baby" (BAD!) As "don't bounce your baby" (common benign method of soothing the baby, used in conjunction with rocking or swaying.) If I'm right, then it's no wonder he was so confused. He mentioned "cultural differences, " so that leads me to believe that English isn't his first language. I also find it hard to believe that every single baby would be *shaken* by their parents where he's from.

My aunt and uncle are hella religious, they were in their mid 20s, just married. Couple months later they legit go to the doctor asking why she's not pregnant. "We're married, why don't we have a baby yet?". Doc legit had to explain to BOTH ADULTS that sex exists. They really thought that a a white dress and a ring would make her grow a human.

My 80 yearold grandma never handled finances, it was always my grandpa who recently-ish passed away. So first thing she did with the bank account? Imma tell ya, she went and took out THOUSANDS out and gave it to her church. She'd do this like every week and the greedy ass church didn't tell her otherwise or give it back, they just took the donations. Turns out my grandma thought "Well money comes from the bank so I'll just gives some to the church". She didn't think it was her money. Loads of my grandpa's hard work frickn down the drain gone. My aunt who she lives with got a call from the bank and fixed everything under loads of stress and my grandma still has no concept of money. Till this day the teens of my family will discuss prices of something and she'll just be like "Oh yeah that's a good price".
Cousin: Ya I got these fake airpods for 40 bucks
Grandma: Is that a lot?
Cousin: No it's very cheap
Grandma: Do you think you could go buy me some cookies for 40 cents?
Cousin: No Oma, it's 40 DOLLARS for the air pods and chocolate doesn't cost 40. 40 is too expensive

for the 'shaken baby' thing, i would bet more than anything it was a language thing. think about it, when we say shaken baby, we are thinking of the violent shaking that kills babies. but what about the gentle shaking you do when you're kind of bouncing them and rocking them? that is a (much less violent) form of "shaking" yeah? nuance people- english is freaking hard even for native speakers. duh

15:47 I know some people have "feeding schedules" for their babies, but here I thought, if you can't read a clock, your baby is crying that it's hungry is a pretty good indication that it's time to feed it.

Working in Dialysis patient must take care of their fluid intake. And no, just because you are scheduled for dialysis for that day does not mean that you can drink 3 big gulps from 7-11 during your treatment and expect us to take off 5kg of fluid in a four hour treatment. Especially if the fluid is not in your vascular space.

And NO. Dialysis is not a means of losing weight. At least not the type of weight you need to take off. So please, do not think you can also eat a 2lb burrito during treatment thinking you will lose weight.
