the grin of John Hurt is so heart warming, he is actually what he considers the worst version of himself and to see that he will become doctors that can heal the situation by cleverness, maliciousness and a bit of slyness instead of destroying it like he did make him really happy

I absolutely love that concept, it's basically the principle of "I cut, you pick" and it would work amazingly if we actually had that technology. Imagine if you had to make a deal between 2 countries and you could honestly put two negotiators from both countries fully prepared into a room, with both sides fully aware of the context this deal has for both sides, and let them forget only which side they are representing until both are satisfied with the deal no matter which side they end up on. It would definitely create a better world than the shithole we have now.

My all time favourite of the modern era Doctor Who episodes. John Hurt was brilliant. And that bit at the end with Tom was amazing. Loved it. I've lost count the number of times I've watched this ep. I just can't say it enough how great this ep is.

I think that this one of the most ingenious ideas the doctor ever had. You will definitely make a fair decision if you don't know which side is going to benefit you the most. It's quite brilliant and forces you to make sure that everyone gets a even split because you don't know what side you're going to be living on when negotiation happen. Usually people aren't fighting to make sure that the other side has what they need. They're fighting to make sure that they get the most out of it or that the other side doesn't get anything better than they do and this prevents you from doing that even if it's subconsciously

David Tennant is just awesome in everything he's in. And Matt Smith was quite excellent too, so getting a chance to see the Doctors work together is the best in my opinion.
