Yeast is a necessary component of healthy kefir- but too much can signify imbalance.

Correcting this can usually be done with Fridge Fermenting! This “cool way” of fermenting allows bacteria & yeasts in the kefir to return to creamy harmony on their own.

Indication your Kefir has too much yeast: ferments fast, fizzy and thin or watery.

No to "YEASTY WATERY KEFIR" 🤭 now i see why its not coming out creamy weather i strain them early or late, i thought grains was going bad BUT ITS YEAST!!!! yup does taste extra sour like sligt tart, but read someone said like wine/alcohol? 😮 oh no, but u said its simply over fermenting and fridging actually HELPS kill the yeast! That i never heard of so again TYSM, I NEEDED TO KNOW THIS LIKE RIGHT NOW ✅️

Hi! Glad to find your video. Can we just ferment in the fridge all the time, not because of the yeast issue but just to slow down the fermentation time? I feel like I am fermenting and washing each day and thought that if I could permanently ferment exclusively in the fridge, that would give me 3-4 days of rest in between fermentation. But would it harm the grains over time to always be in cold temperature? Hope to hear your kind reply. Thank you.

To shake or not to shake… THST is my question….? When you feed your grains and put on counter … should you ..shake the jar at all within the 12-24 hr process???

I want to learn how to make Kefir but don’t have the grains. Everyone around me on fb are selling too pricey. Can you make the grains at home??

Thank you for sharing. I left my kefir in the fridge, maybe for two weeks and it tastes bitter. Should I strain the grain and throw the kefir. Maybe I closed the lid tight that's why it got better. Can you give me advice please.
