This is actually a thing! I used to watch my grandma cook eggs like this when I was a kid and thought she was crazy! She can't cook anymore, so I always make sure I cook her eggs this way 🙂

I learned this in the early 50's watching my grandparents fry eggs in bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. Texas style! Served with homemade buttermilk biscuits and fig preserves.

In my opinion an egg yolk always has to be runny. These fried eggs are the best ever. Goes so well with anything.

We make those in the southern USA too! Fry them up in the grease leftover from cooking bacon or sausage for breakfast or something like that lol That's my FAVORITE way to eat eggs!

learned this recently and i put some chilli oil mixed with soy sauce, vinegar and chopped peppers on top. its like my go to breakfast now lol
so delicious and so easy, like you're in the streets of indonesia haha

The best fried egg is with about half a tablespoon of butter per egg, 1 egg cooked at a time on medium high heat, flipped once when the edges become brown, you gauge the softness of the yolk by how long you cook after flipped. I'm a white man. I fucking love me some crispy crunchy eggs.
