He defined God as "everything that you don't know" on Joe Rogan podcast. But he defines God differently depending on who he is talking to. That rubbed me the wrong way at first as a christian, but then i realized that if the person he's talking to isn't a christian, and doesn't believe in God, he already knows they don't believe, so he defines God in a way they can understand, and a way they can relate to and/or respect. None of his definitions are false, God has many names. "I AM" is a name. I think it's brilliant now, because the conversation miraculously DOESN'T GRIND TO A HALT at that point. he steps over it like a cat steps over a landmine, like it's nothing. I can't get enough of this guy.

Was an atheist my whole life and was never happy
The moment I started to believe even a little, things got better.

I'm an Agnostic scientist with strong Christian values. There are many things we don't know, and we should be humble.

Was agnostic most of my life but once I understood a fragment of God's word, my life has improved in every facet. Family, relationships even business, I only lament that it took so long, I missed out on too much when I was blind. Fear of the Lord IS the beginning of Wisdom. Even if that wisdom is equivalent to one grain of sand out of all the grains of sand in the world, it is a huge blessing.

Used to pride myself in being atheist, before I realized it was nothing to be smug about. You trade one dogma for another, no matter how much you try to scrub that good ol' godhood stain off of your spirit. You can try bleaching it, but then it weakens you so much you might not even realize it.
I still don't know about a literal _Higher Entity_ but the psychological archetype (or whatever you might call it) is something I now recognize in a very acute way.

There is now not a single outspoken atheist I like. Anyone who makes a point to base themselves in the supposed lack of beliefs is someone I can only view with suspicion. All of my favorite lecturers, professors and public figures are, at the very least, deists.

This is something that happened organically. The bitter, resentful people are all shuffling to my left side and –wonders!– the fun people are coming to my right hand. Hindsight is weird, I guess. 15-year-old-me would have thrown a huge fit at the very idea of liking someone like Peterson, if only because he's not an atheist.

When I had my first awakening and realized how blessed I was, eventually my outlook on others turned into “do they even realize what God has given them? I have. I’m aware. I’m better.” What a joke. I thought myself better than the rest because of how much “wisdom” I gained. I was prideful and without realizing it, had fallen. Until the day came that I was shown that my sins don’t just effect me. They effect everyone. Everyone I loved. And that same day I cried and was humbled. I realized God was still with me, watching me, rooting for me. Someone I cast away, was always there for me. What love. What kindness. Thank you God. You’ve touched my heart. Whatever you have planned for me, thank you. Your blessings and mercy, no matter what shape they take, I accept them. Thank you. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was having a serious moment of anxiety and reflection when you said q, "I've never seen anyone get away with anything ever not even once" e.q
Such an insight and what a blatant truth that is! Thank you Mr Peterson.

Understand the biblical definition of fear is different than being afraid. It is more an awe at the power and love of God, which when understood with help from the Spirit leads towards reformation. Wisdom is also not the same as intelligence, either.

Before people get upset, keep in mind that your definition of God may vary and so does Dr. Peterson's understanding of God. I think the point of this clip is the same, regardless if you are religious or an atheist.

What a moving and fascinating modern secular prophet. Kinda love the guy. May the Lord reveal to him his fully glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

Such an incredibly powerful talk — potentially life changing! Can you imagine what the world would be like if we all understood this and lived by this principle?❤️

Wow. Dare I say this? It sounded like a 4:39 Sermon. I have heard way worse Biblical Sermons done in 30 minutes. I will get plenty of flack for writing this, but I am praying that he becomes the next C. S. Lewis in a few years. He would be a most powerful force in a world of darkness.

In my youth, I flew fighters in the U.S. Navy. The consequences of being "on your high horse" or hubris were often instant and catastrophic. There was a saying in the community. "Don't believe your own bullshit!" We all have a degree of hubris and we could strut around with the best of them, but we mostly realized that if you invest too much in that, you could end up in a smoking hole! I'm retired now, but the same attitude also served me well flying in the airlines. It's a good motto for life...don't believe your own bullshit!
