For beginners, I’d recommend 30s run and a 90s rest period with a 0 to 0.5 incline on a speed between 6 or 9 (6 being the lowest for starters and 9 being the fastest and most efficient once you build your stamina up).

I do this alot. It'improve your cardio.
Incline 6, pace 20 max on the treadmill.
20 on 40 off, 15 sets. Killer

Yeah i need a very durable treadmill to sprint the belt stops and injuries my knee because I weigh 260 so I’d love to do this but I like my knees

If you are a fan of soccer. This is also known as the John Terry cardio workout. John Terry is the former beloved captain of Chelsea FC.

His version of this is:
40 sec on - 20 sec rest
Treadmill speed - 11.2MPH
Incline - 12%
Sets - 15

Damn!! I run 3 miles straight at 3 incline at 7 speed, im going to try this sounds intense at 11

for safety, I start with a 2 min warm up at 4 mph (fast walk), then I ramp the speed up and start the workout. No need to have the treadmill going that fast and having to make that trasfer.

@ Choi .. Is a good idea to do long distance runs on 12% incline for 3mi aday if your trying to get monster Quads with walking lunges & 1000 jumping Jacks after the run .. This soccer player at my gyms does it every day & he has tree truck Quads & a crazy six pac .. That’s all we ever see him do, his upper body he claims is from the jumping jacks and all the hill running ?? Please do a video of this work and how you feel after .. I think he said he does 250 walking lunges no weights on any of exercises !!

I have my own treadmill at home. But it's not that gigantic. Serves the purpose. It's my day3 treading with alternate speeding 8-10.5 for 25 mints. Great experience.
