And now, as of yesterday, almost 5 years and 1 month after my dog passed away, my childhood cat passed away at home at the age of almost 16.

He will be deeply missed

My dog was with me for 16 years, my best friend, only being I could be around 24/7 and never get tired of her. I loved her so very much.

I just lost my cat. I still expect him to be sitting at the end of my bed, purring. I miss him so much.
Rest in peace, Mango

Hey it's a devastating thing. When pets become part of your family be they pass away it's like losing a member of your human family. Rough as hell

I’ll never see her again... I’ll never be able to tell her that I love her, or embrace her in my arms for 2 hours and I’ll never have that ever again.. I kind of feel guilty for not crying or thinking about her more than I am which is everyday after school..

I look around my room and have these memories that come back and I’ll remember her and I’ll start to tear up...

She was a chicken, and even though she wasn’t a dog or cat, she was still a huge part of my life and so important.. she was a therapy animal. I would take her to senior homes and the seniors would be so happy to see her, and I’ll never experience their joy in seeing her, next week I have to tell them that she passed away and all I’ll get from it is sadness...

She would lay in my arms for hours and not move or make noise, she never pooped while I was holding her.. I Remeber one time I was holding her in my room and I wanted to go get something so I set her down on a towel on the ground and the minute I set her down she pooped and it was so funny, idk why, but she was so adorable..

Her name was Alice, and she was a Silkie hen (google it, they’re so adorable) and even though she’s not a dog or cat she was so important to me and now I won’t ever see her or embrace her or have those awesome moments with her..

I just want to say goodbye...

It’s been almost a year and I still cry every single day. I don’t know how to cope still she was the only thing that got me through the hardest times. I’m so lost without her

I had a fish. His name was Link Raine Hensley-Singh. He has just died, and I miss him. I know it probably sounds stupid that I'm grieving over a fish, but he was my friend, and a fish is a pet too.

I lost my dog yesterday. I was in school then going to my classmates house. Then just got home and the first thing i heard from my father was our dog just died. It just hurts so much that I didn't get to say goodbye. I feel so guilty.

My heart goes out to anybody who knows the agony of loosing a beloved pet. So may people just do not understand the tremendous loss it is to loose their pet, and I wish I could put into words how utterly heart wrenching it is. I lost my sweet Niki (a female yellow lab) 17 years ago, and to this day, I still miss her and still get choked up just thinking about her. RIP Lulu
