The loss of a job not only affects us financially but also emotionally that's for sure.

I've been unemployed for 4 months due to pandemic and my life is falling apart. I'm 29 y/o who now relies on the charity of my relatives to keep a roof over my head. Looking for a job is leading nowhere, no company in my job line is hiring- they're firing instead.

May God provide strength to those who are heavy laden, weakened with worldly pain and lost their jobs due to pandemic... the very source of their income and living!! May God show them channels to works or jobs to possible best that can help them and their

the funny thing of these footages is that they give you lots of tips such as "embrace volunteering", "find new motivations"... but no one tells you what the hell you ought to do to pay the rent at the end of the month

Been unemployed since March. 3 kids and a wife who is working extremely hard to keep it afloat. Watching this video I was hopeful I would find out something new. But with little faith in humanity and being told going outside will “kill” you, doing things outside job searching is rare. The worst part is feeling like you let your family down when they send you the “thank you” auto email reply. Holidays are toughest and I know I’m in trouble because I felt like 2 years away is doable if I don’t harm anyone. Mouths are hungry and help is far and few... Help me before I Help myself... -a begging dad

About five months ago, on December 1, 2021, my Fiancee/Spouse, Mandy, was forced to quit her job at a cleaning company in Corner Brook, Canada, as a result of pressure to quit, abusive management, and maltreatment from her employer.

She was working at the company through a community employment organization for persons with disabilities, and with assistance from a Job Coach.

It put a lot of stress on me as her abrupt resignation happened during what is suppose to be "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", Christmas.

It not only put stress on my spouse, but also on me as we were planning to get married and celebrating a Happy Christmas.

Growing up we were taught that Christmas is suppose to be a Happy Time, not a stressful one when you have to worry about paying bills in the New Year.

She was able to get by as she received Employment Insurance Sickness Benefits, but they ran out recently.

Now I'm worried that we'll never reach our dreams, including planning our Wedding, as it requires a considerable amount of money to tie the knot.

I am 25 only, I know I still have time and all, but it’s just hard. I’ve lost my job back in May 28, 2021 this year. Initially I felt I’m going to go through this, usually my days consist of work, game, spend time with love ones, sleep, repeat. But months past, and I don’t even like game at all really, I try to keep my chin up. But lately it’s getting to me how difficult job searching is, how I thought of planning to move in with my girlfriend, go back to school to advance in my career path. And now I feel so lost and uncertain.

I got laid off from a good organization just one day month ago, I have been lucky to land another job within 1 month alhamdullah, but I still grief that job, the rejection, feeling of loss is so painful even though I'm grateful for I got a new job in a smaller organization!

I asked for my job provider to accompany me when I lost my job. That was the best support option I made and it helped me to see that I was no failing but moving forward and that job was not the job for me.

People often blame themselves when they lose a job as a majority of job losses in Anglo America, referring to United States of America and Canada, are a result of doing something wrong, serious rule violations, or not meeting performance targets.

That's why when you're laid off, you often assume that an employer is punishing you for no reason as job loss is often used as a punishment tool.

In the long term, two solution for dealing with long term job losses are a Guaranteed Basic Income program or longer Social Security (or Employment Insurance in Canada) benefit periods.

I retired because Co. offered early retirement, coworkers were jumping in on it, convinced me i earned it, ... then, i realized to late, it wasn't for me.... i really loved my job, & the workplace and coworkers. I couldn't return. I've been suffering from horrible depression and anxiety, ... and regret. I don't live anymore. Lost all interests in life.... it's the worst feeling I've ever experienced .... been thinking about ending my life, ... Retirement depression!, am i the only one? Friends say i should be happy and grateful and fortunate.... 😩

Focus on the future. How did no one ever think of that? Like all the resume I have change, all the references I have gone through, amd all the jobs applied.
Dying seems more worth it to me than living. I can't bear the thought to keep thinking if I am going to live the next day or not

I found dream job that was long term but for some reason my panic attack and anxiaty disorder came back and going to work was impossible.. I was home 1, 5 months on doctor note and after that for the first time ever I managed to get back to work and beat my demons and I worked for 1 month and kept learning the job. 2 days ago my boss asked me to his room and said that they are letting me go because of that 1, 5 month and because they feel I dont have enough stress handeling skills to do that job. Im so dissapointed because for first time in my life I found long term job with good salary and now its all gone because Im so weak.. I just hope that I found something and can support my family..
