Since I eliminated carbs, I stopped consuming supplements. Never felt better and bloodwork is phenomenal. You only need to supplement if your food isn’t complete.

Yes Magnesium and potassium, they made a huge difference to me as I used to get horrible extremely painful legs cramps during sleep. My calf muscle would turn to stone, to jelly, with searing pain, leaving me sweating and feeling like I was about to be sick. The only other thing I've tried where I noticed a real difference is omegas 3 oil. I use vegan omegas and these gave me a big increase in energy, clarity in my brain, etc. But I have to use three capsules per day, not just one.

Sean, How many mg of N-acetyl cysteine do you suggest to take per day?

There is a 1998 paper that compared the stomach’s response to meat protein versus soy protein. The researchers found that soy protein produced 25% less acid and 60 to 70 % fewer gastric enzymes.

For those of us who eat near zero carb, our stomach acid may be so strong that none of the common microbes of a moderate carbohydrate diet even survive.

We can develop the acid levels of scavengers. Vultures have only a very few bacteria that can survive in their intestines.

So this begs the question of whether even the microbes of fermented plants would survive in our guts.

Thanks Jesse! Great info from Dr Sean O'Mara on NAC. I drink way too much kefir though, I think.

What is the dosage for potassium? Odd that supplements are limited to 99mg when the suggested daily allowance is so much higher. I don’t know how I would get enough thru food.

I take Magnesium Fish Oil Tumeric and Cod Liver Oil Luetin and Niacin everything else out there gives me side effects. Also take a Multi Vitamin twice a week to avoid buildup which makes side effect too much of one good thing.

Most probiotics are actually dead. I tried making yogurt with many different brands and strains. All I end up with was sour stinking emulsified rotten milk. If the probiotics were alive they would have made yogurt, just like the Bulgarian strain I use, or the Kefir grains.
