I have fibromyalgia and absolutely hate it! The only time I’m ever NOT feeling pain is when I’m asleep

Its every word you said Dr. Jen. Its pure misery. I was diagnosed with Fibro in 1992.
I had these symptoms many years before. Back then it was a long depressing struggle to find out what was wrong with me. Indeed it overlaps with other medical conditions. I haven't had one thing that helps ease the pain & symptoms. Barometric pressure is a nightmare for us. Thanks for talking about this. ♥️

Thank you for your video about fibromyalgia! I discovered my fibromyalgia from Youtube, and later on many doctors have confirmed it. Awareness is very important 🥰

Yes! I have had fybro for years and have every symptom you have described. Talking about overlapping, I also have osteoperosis so they are alike in ways as far as the pain. Thank you so much for bringing light to this, it is real and it is painful all the time!!! And yes, it moves!

Believe me, I know! I have been suffering from Fibro since I was diagnosed in 2008 with it. The widespread pain, the pins & needle feelings when I brushing my hair, touching my skin, in my feet and legs that it it's hard to walk at times, the sensitivity to the light ect.. I wss taking Gabapentin for 11 years amd all they did was up the dosage every time my body got use to it. I gained over 30 pounds and was very hard to lose any weight and I just lost that weight because I stopped taking the medication because I was sick and tired of it not working and they didn't want to put me on Lyrica since I had gained all that weight with Gabapentin. Now I just deal with the pain because i'm so use to it!

It may be old news to many, but I just recently learned that Men can suffer with fibro also! I thought this was exclusive to women because I have only known women who have been diagnosed. Prayers to everyone suffering 😔

Also, cognitive issues. What I call, "fibro fog." Brain fog. IBS, sensitivity to "touch." Just to have clothes on or, someone touching you is like, painful shock waves flowing through your body. RLS is a big one for me. Migraines. Musculoskeletal pain 😢

Just recently diagnosed… no treatment yet.

Well I was Cymbalta for chronic pain from Endometriosis and PCOS, but that ended badly for me.

My doctor tested me for diabetes bc I have been experiencing numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. I’m not even pre-diabetic so knowing this could be a symptom of fibromyalgia makes me feel better. I was diagnosed almost 15 years ago and my symptoms have been through changes since the pain started.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 30 years ago and it is terrible! I now have neuropathy, peripheral artery disease and so many other health conditions as well. My fibromyalgia gets so bad till it makes me feel like I have the flu because my whole body aches terribly especially when the weather changes and not resting well. I never sleep well. I'm very sensitive to light. I also have severe migraines. Along with everything else you named. Thankfully I went through full blown menopause in my late 40s I'm now 56 so I don't have menstrual cycles anymore thank goodness because they were absolutely awful! I live with pain every single day of my life and unfortunately nothing helps and I can't take any type of pain medications because it makes me sick so I just have to take it day by day and just bare the pain any other medication the doctor has tried me on for fibromyalgia I cannot take either because it doesn't work well with me in other words makes me feel worse or just doesn't help at all.

Thank you! I was diagnosed in 2010. I experience all of these symptoms except for painful cramps, plus others. I've had either bad or allergic reactions to most of the approved medications. I'm currently waiting for an appointment with a better neurologist in February, but there doesn't seem to be much that helps for me as far as treatment. I experience mild-extreme neuropathy in my legs on a daily basis.

You described everything I’ve been going through since June. My doctor ordered lots of bloodwork and sent me to a rheumatologist thinking it was something autoimmune. The rheumatologist says it’s not RA which was suspected. I do have mild scoliosis since I was a child but I truly don’t know what this is. I’m now wondering why both doctors haven’t considered fibro and I’m not sure what to do because I’m still in pain after changing my diet, going to chiropractor and regularly doing my low impact exercises. Please advise on what I have to do to get a diagnosis. Thank you for this video because I know it is helping a lot of people feel seen and not crazy.
