Thank God for Dr Bikman and many like him who teach these concepts so we can heal ourselves if we choose to.

Dr.Bikman, is the fact that older people have a tendency to increase their cholesterol ( LDL) levels. Is this phenomenon to do with insulin resistance? One cardiologist has suggested that statin also promote insulin resistance. I would be very grateful if you can speak on these two points in a further podcast on insulin resistance 😅.

This makes even more sense when applied to Lipedema. Having pockets everywhere with fat cells having met their maximum limit, making them insulin resistant. Me personally have great A1C levels and other blood work but my GP doesn't understand why I am so insulin resistant. This also makes sense that manual removal of the damaged maxed out fat cells will help the body return to normal function.

What is reaching limits? What about the cell determines limit size? The cell membrane? What actually limits it. It makes sense that it would have limits with some variation depending. Just wondering what exactly limits it. Not that it is or isn't. But besides observation of insulin resistance or hyperinsulinemia

Sounds like modern human has no limits in destroying his own health and life, following mainstream high carb culture and consuming processed food available 24/7 in abundance 😳

This clip is way to short to describe this. There is no such “thing” as insulin resistance. But there is a thing called the Randle Cycle that explains it very well.

ugh, what a bunch of science fiction. This guy has no idea what insulin resistance is. It is simply the body turning off carb processing when you start to fast (starve yourself) or eat lots of fat. If you have lots of fat in your body, your body does not need to process carbs for energy so it shuts down that process, likewise if you are fasting. I can see it using my CGM, if I go back to eating a bunch of fat, I will be diabetic in a week and back to shooting insulin.
