Here's Part Two of a follow-up to my most recent video, "Reflections on Working Four Years at Notion", breaking down what it actually took for me to quit my job with no backup plan. For context, I was an early employee at Notion working on the GTM side of the business and left a few months ago.

In this video, I go through the key external (in part 1) and internal factors (in part 2) that played a role in my leaving. For anyone on the brink of a huge life decision like leaving a job or changing career paths, I hope my story can serve as one data point as you consider yours 🫶

I loved your video and found your presentation and reflections so helpful for those planning to begin a similar journey. I'm building a readiness checklist and reminding myself "there's never a perfect time", "the biggest risk is not taking a risk". Your messaging about courage compounds on itself and asking oneself would you rather risk security or risk losing the inner fire or inner drive really resonated.

Ive been wanting to quit my ux job for a year but still havent had the courage to do it. My productivity, drive and passion is completely out the window to the point where i honestly dont to be in the field anymore. Im in a advantageous situation where ican leave but im not sure what to tell my manager and colleagues. They are good people. I dont have anything lined up yet (dont want another ux job). i know i dont need to tell them but idont want to look bad. Any advice on what i should say?
