Day 11 - Flow | BREATH - A 30 Day Yoga Journey

In this BREATH session, we focus on the concept of flow, providing tools for practice that may lead you to explore the ways in which you may be working against yourself instead of for yourself. We will begin standing today, taking time to ground before we explore different tempos and rhythms. This is not meant to throw you but to help guide you into new territory for a deeper discovery. We continue to learn new vocabulary as well as integrate what we have learned so far to align and find freedom within the form.

This 22 min practice invites you to continue syncing up with your breath in the most loving way and is designed to leave the whole body feeling tended to.

It is not easy to carve out this time, I know it. Remember, the hardest part is showing up. But - you can do it.
Just get yourself to the mat, and together we will take the next step…which will allow each present moment to FLOW into the next.

I’m German and every time Adriene says “root to rise” my brain first thinks she’s saying “Mut to rise” which would be “courage to rise”. I quite like that - let’s have the courage to rise ☺️

Just a note to anyone who's gotten a little behind - don't give up! I missed a couple of days and felt that self-hatred creeping in about it, but I caught up and I'm so glad I did. Thank you Adriene, you're an angel <3

Nowadays (since we lost Justice Ginsburg last Sept 18), when given the options of Table Top or Plank, I choose the latter, in her memory. RIP RBG. Thanks, Adriene, for reminding us of choices...

I saw a comment the other day that said that at the end of each practice, this person said three silent thank yous- one to their body and themselves for showing up, one to Adriene for all that she does, and one to the universe for having hem here and for manifesting them.
I've done that each day since, and it feels really good. Sometimes I've been whispering them too. I think it is wonderful and necessary to remember that it is so incredible we all have these beautiful working bodies and that we get to be alive. That alone is absolutely miraculous and absolutely enough.

This might sound dramatic, but this journey is literally changing my life. Getting to know myself, forcing me to take time in my day to actively work on myself, creating mindfulness and community, strengthening and conditioning my body and soul. What a gift and a blessing to be alive. Namaste, my friends!

I did today's practice right after a panic attack. The thought that moved me to the mat was that I want to "see", connect with, all of you guys. I was still crying and shaking when I turned the video on. Your kind, calm voice, Adriene, walked me through those scary moments. It wasn't a graceful, aesthetic practice, but I kept this thought in my head: each breath is a new arrival. Thank you, community. Everything will be okay <3

Dear Adriene, my name is Roi and I am 19 years old from Israel.
I didn't plan on writing it, but I have to.
I can't really describe how much the BREATH series and all your yoga practices save me and help me reconnect to myself. After every practice I remember what it's like to be truly alive and not anxious and lost by so many things that are so out of our control or even by silly little things. Thank you for being yourself and for making us all feel like we are all one huge family all around the world, along with Benji.
And thank you for showing us that you can come back to yourself, through yoga. All that we need is within us! Proud to be celebrating 4 years with Yoga with Adriene this year. Wishing everyone all the love, health and peace of mind, enjoy the BREATH journey and as Adriene says "don't forget to take the breath with you off your mat" fellow yoga friends! ♥

Usually when I come to the mat feeling a bit "meh" I leave feeling energised. That didn't happen today, but rather I am at peace with the fact that I'm feeling meh and I know it will pass. Adriene has taught me that yoga is about listening and accepting yourself rather than trying to change or "fix" yourself :)

BREATH, day 11 - Wow, I don't know why but it was a bit difficult practice for me today. But in the end, while in the pigeon pose, I listened deeply to my ocean breath and told myself that it is OK, not all days are sunshine and rainbows. Sending love and positive energy to all fellow yogis here! We can do it! NAMASTE x x x
