I've noticed that a lot of people do #6 pause but don't listen at all, also dismiss what [you] say then later, say things like "why are you so queit" "How come you never want to talk" which is scary, interesting. But like John Entwistle sang "You got nothin' to hear I've got nothin' to say." Thank you so much for the upload and all your positive work, love your videos.

My narc asked me why I appologize. She just couldn't grasp the reasoning for feeling apologetic for something you've done. She also broke up with me on the 1 year anniversary of my mom's death. That one hurt!

They withhold sex and intimacy. Then accuse you of cheating. They expect perfection from you and blame you for anything and everything-

OMG...yes, I tried to tell people all the time that my ex was different when we were alone. No one hardly believed me, and they thought I was the abusive person.

With regards to no.4 - My personal opinion is that by getting you to doubt your own interpretation of reality they trigger your fight or flight system (since if you don't really know what's going on around you, then you are in constant danger), and this creates feelings of anxiety and an actual physiological response in you. It keeps you on edge all of the time and means they can trigger (God I hate that word) you very, very easily, making you even easier to control.

1. I just don't understand how similar all narcissists are! How is it even possible? Its crazy!


2. I wonder how narcissists serve humanity on a greater level? Like... from an evolutionary aspect. Is there any benefit as a result of their existence?

3. Is it learnt behaviour? Are some people more genetically predisposed?

4. Do you think there would be medication to help narcs be less narcs?

5. I wonder if animals have narc tendencies.

6. I wonder if someone will make an app to help us identify narcs before its super late.

A narc usually bulldozes over others in conversations. They talk right over you as though your not speaking. It's extremely rude, and low class.

Just now getting the notification. As i open the video I'm already expecting to learn so much of it is "me". smh... Michele, I literally *just* completed my divorce. Although my "nex" has been."normal" recently with my kids, I'm still nervous af about what she'll say or do once I've moved out.
Either way, i thank you and TLS for the guided tour into recovery.
Here's to hoping i can work is back into counseling and not damage anyone in the process
