Once I realized they never cared about my feelings, I stopped caring about theirs. Conversations/debates were easy after that, because I was no longer questioning my sanity and trying to coddle them. It’s interesting being told something that you absolutely aren’t or even how you think and feel. When I laugh and say obviously you don’t know me as well as you think you do. Then the name calling starts & they start loosing control! They turn into the 12 yr old that they still are.

When you start thinking you need to record a conversation you know you are dealing with gaslighting. My x constantly did this I started to think I was crazy, do your research to find the clues don't even bring it up cause it will be your fault once you have found you are dealing with a narcissist pack your stuff and run
