If you have low back pain from sitting for long periods, walking or getting in and out of the chair, you may be experiencing some cluneal nerve irritation which can mimic SI joint pain. Today, I am going to show you a simple self-test that you can do to determine if your SI joint is the culprit for your low back pain or if it may be coming from elsewhere.
"No Nerve, No Pain." That's a common saying at our clinic. We found a lot of common pain has its root cause with various forms of nerve irritations. In this case, the good old SI joint pain can result from irritation of this cluneal nerve.

0:12 Self test for cluneal nerve irritation
0:35 Differentiate SI pain from cluneal nerve pain
The most effective way to do the nerve flossing is to:
1️⃣- Do the provocative movement that was triggering your low back pain first
2️⃣- Do the self nerve mobilization by pulling the skin in your lower rib cage down to your SI joint to see if you can reproduce the SI pain or low back pain- 30 reps
3️⃣- Re-test by doing the same provocative movement
4️⃣- If you find relief, keep doing this nerve mobilization 4-5x throughout the day or as prescribed by (ME) in the clinic!
‼ While this nerve mobilization is very effective in treating nerve pain, but you still need to find out "why" you initially irritate this nerve.
✅Let us help you find out the root cause, so you can truly fix this once and for all.
