What tips do you have to lower your a1c?

December 1 was told my A1c was just under 11. So changed the diet, no white food except cauliflower, no sugar, no snacks. Fish 3 days a week, lots of vegetables and fruits, and water…no alcohol. Mid January started at the gym, 5 days a week, about 8 hours in total. Beginning of March, lost 60#, A1c now at 5.2. On the way to losing the next 60#

I lowered my A1C from 11.5% to below 5% in 3 months: I stopped eating processed foods and started eating clean. Thank you for sharing

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in January of this year (2023). My A1C was at a 10.9 and now just got news I lowered my A1C to a 4.6... I changed myself for the better. I eat better and exercise more. Never thought I could do it.

I received a 7.1 A1C a week ago. I’ve started intermittent fasting (6 hour eating window). Morning walks of 40 minutes. I’m now taking Berberine. I’ve eaten only natural foods since my diagnosis.

I agree 100% with everything you said. Sugar/starch is absolutely an addictive substance for mammals. Food manufacturers figured that out long ago. Over 90% of what you find at a grocery store should never be eaten.

I dropped my A1C from 13 to 5.4 in 3 months, my approach is to first reduce my blood sugar and now I am looking at healing my body. Physical activity does help with reducing blood sugar.
I told myself I will reverse my diabetes to completely, now the healing portion is taking more energy. Now, I am concentrating on healing the different parts of my body by creating a blue print in my mind and following through. I think we all know subconsciously what needs to be done, what we need to learn is listen and follow through...

Very good advice. I followed a very similar regimen and reversed my diabetes very quickly. I wonder when the mainstream medical community will catch up.

Wow! Now we're getting somewhere! I watched videos and got more and more confused about diabetes.

I just found your video and really liked your calm approach to taking on this disease. I'm 60 and my type 2 is getting worse. So, I've decided things need to change for me and your message makes alot of sense. Well done.

I am type 2 diabetes once I found out I've immediately cut cold turkey on soda and candy (not even sugar free soda) stuck with unsweetened ice tea water and bubble water drinks. Lost over 20 pounds in a few months and work out everyday for 30 min 😀 my A1c was 6.9 when I was diagnosed don't need insulin but I'm hoping my a1c went down with all this hard work I'm doing

I have thus far gone from an A1C of 8.1 to 6.0 since September 20, 2023 by switching to Keto and then to full Carnivore. I expect to be at or near 5.5 in the next 3 months.

Thank you this was a less scary and aggressive talk.Everyone seems to be saying diabetics can't eat any thing. Thank you so much

Spot on. You need to have the self confidence to say to yourself, "I CAN do this. I WILL do this".

Exercising is a great point. I have diabetic and non-diabetic people asking my if they should do resistance training similar to what I do, to achieve their goals. I always tell them to find something that 'they' like to do. This way they will stick to it. I agree that intermittent fasting is good, yet I am trying to gain muscle and do intermittent fasting at the same time. It is difficult since I have to eat 2 large meals per day that spike my blood glucose.

Thanks for a wonderful talk and love your Welsh accent! The way I think of things are that most medications only treat the symptoms of T2D, only a good clean diet of natural foods will help the actual disease from progressing. As Dr Jason Fung says “ Diabetes is a dietary disease and therefore needs a dietary solution”. Charge on Rhinos and good luck to you all.

Thank you for making this video and keeping it simple. I saw my doctor yesterday and found out my A1C is 10. I'm really scared. Your video calmed me down. I especially loved the step " I'm not a number" I'm going to stop obsessing over the fact I'm at a 10 and focus my mind on changing my situation. Thank you.

Thanks for the video, I use Libre2 with the Blucon device to track real-time readings, set alarms, food insights, and more. These features have significantly improved my ability to manage my glucose levels effectively.

For me, the problem with eating, sweet potatoes, beans, and foods like that, is that it does not stop the psychotic food cravings for sugar that are inherent in most of us carbaholic diabetics. I have to completely eliminate those types of foods from my diet in order to be free from the cravings. For me, this is one of my keys to success. You're spot on when you say that we are sugar addicts.
