It eventually reached a point where my body craved a session after a rest day. A regular practice has helped my body feel at its BEST, and so skipping days because I don't have time is actually the harder part now. And soreness leads to me wanting a restorative session, so I love how there is an option for a practice to leave me feeling at my best no matter what state my body is in.

Charlie is so wise for one so young. I feel fortunate to have discovered her on YT 😊

I try to exercise every day - not everyday is pure yoga, as I am dancing and running and doing other kinds of exercise, and, alas, day has only 24 hours, but even on those days I do other kind of physical activity I incorporate yoga at least to my warm up/stretching. It is really much easier to stay consistent this way. And even five minutes is better than nothing. The only time I may skip exercise altogether is when I am ill - but even then I try some relaxing practice (not so much to stay consistent, but simply for feeling better). Each of the practices, you bring us, is a great joy for me and I am happy I have found you on Youtube. Thank you, Charlie!

Even if it’s a 10 minute flow just to ensure I did it and didn’t entirely skip a day is my key to it. It doesn’t have to be balls to the wall long yoga sessions every day. But some movement on my mat every day, even 10 minutes, keeps me consistent.

One day off completely and one day gentle. When I was younger I never skipped a day. But in listening to my body as I’m in my 50s, I need a little more recovery.

what helps me to be consistent and not to give up doing yoga at home is being kind to myself. I've given myself a permit to be lazy at times, so I can go without yoga 2-3 days without feeling guilty. ans then my body starts craving movement)) so whatever you do, don't act as a bad cop towards yourself. Be kind)))

I just stay consistent with 3 or 4 days rest i always return within a week or i do more .yin practice breath work all depends on how i feel what i need and want. Working hard never gave me that yes feeling .. or that i overcome something .. i do believe in intuitive growth

all depends on what i want You may call.it inconsistent but in a way im doing it like this for many years so it has a certain comsitency without any particular desire to achieve Goals and ambitions its something that doesnt match with.my personality. Evantually puts pressure or worse anxiety and i get sometimes bored with routine i can.practice yoga also at any given daytime and if it didnt happen thats okay too. But i got to give it to you your classes are amazing thats probably bcs you stayed consistant 🎉 .the only reason i always get back to yoga in a broader sense is bcs it helps with my mental health .

I always take weekends as my rest days. I’ve been consistent for 10 months straight since I started a college yoga class in January, my schedule hasn’t changed. I’ve grown so much from this practice so it shows that this isn’t for everyone! I take my weekends very seriously and need those times to take a break from my yoga practice:) just find a schedule that works best for you

This is something I struggle with!!!! When i was younger, the first time I dieted, I had a cheat day on Sundays because we had coffee hour at our church and I was a child... bu the thought of an actual cheat day is scary now because I can fall off so quickly. I was keto for a month and walking or biking or lifting everyday. It was great! Kinda plateued, so I thought I should try to "cycle" carbs even though I had not got the full understanding yet and when to do this, so one or two days or a week whatever it was I thought I was doing turned in to a few years now!!!! I gained back all the weight and more because I probably lost muscle. Definitely restricted calories more than needed sometimes, and did too much cardio not enough lifting. I tracked it all in an app which I do think helps because instead of guessing, you know. I probably would have given up sooner because I thought I blew it too much. I hadnt. And I could see the patterns and how it all evens out.

That's a good advice! And I would add that me personally, I can't and don't want to do any excercise or yoga practice during my period. I feel too heavy and uncomfortable to move much. But right after my period ends, I get back on track with my practice.

For anyone who thinks this sounds too overwhelming, I don’t think it has to be every single day forever with only one solitary rest day here and there. I think it’s more like, if you commit to doing yoga three times a week (for example), don’t take more than one rest day *on one of those three days.* So if you need a rest one week and only do 2 sessions in the week, that’s okay for keeping the habit. But don’t let it turn into skipping more than one. You know what I mean?

I was doing the two days in a row thing when I first started yoga again after back surgery. I kept taking another day and another until it had been two months. I did that three times. This time I'm doing the one rest day, started September 1st, and so far so good!

If I do it in the a.m. I always get more done, including other workouts. Yesterday I went on a 28 mile bike ride with my neighbor Before my ypga & came back So tired I basically fell asleep a few hours later messing up my entire sleep schedule! Also having several yoga flows I enjoy especially to start so I dont get bored. I'm determined to do 21 days of yoga in hopes that I just never stop.

I was out of work for a year and practiced daily, then I started a new job working 9-10 hour days 6 days a week after going to school for 30 days to get my 200 hour YTT and haven’t had much time to practice. It’s been very difficult to integrate all this but I should really try to only skip every other day
