Picasso said "Good art is stolen, bad art is copied"

I really like how you often say that undoing a lot is natural. It's super important for people, especially aspiring artists, to realize that mistakes happen even to people with the amount of skill you have.

I'm . . . not sure that you mentioned it in this video, but I was reminded of it when I saw you do the final line work.

Wait... what if reference images were made using reference images... It's an endless cycle!!!

This was really great to see, I always have tendency to stick too close to the reference material.

jazza is awesome! such a lighthearted drawing channel without the boring narration. Jazz and Mark Crilley are really in a league of their own when it comes to lets draw kind of videos....thanks for the inspiration Jazza!

Looked for various guides on referencing vs copying and none of them stood out for me, because they didn't teach how to _avoid_ copying. This video was EXACTLY what I'm looking for!!

For a character I really like that I'm making, she's inspired by a character from this game that I like but the result looked too much like her when I attempted it. Now I can watch this later and review it to fix it. Before, I wouldn't use Youtube when it comes to art, but you and your channel finally got me to give in and I get a lot of encouragement from it. Your channel is awesome, thanks Jazza! Soooo glad I found it. :)

I think it's cool when you go back to an old Jazza video and see how far Jazza has come in his production value

You're a huge inspiration to me Jazza!!! I really want to be a concept artist, I just started studying game design (visual art) this year. You're videos help a lot with anatomy and sketching. THANK YOU

It seems you give everybody a neutral, semi- realistic technique for everything, to then slowly develop into their own style as time goes on.
Interesting.
I had thought i had leaned everything there was to be learned on youtube, and that i'd have to figure out any other shit on my own clearly i was wrong :)
But jazza, could you create a tutorial on having multiple drawing styles, and in the same video, the basics of a painting/drawing hybrid (outlines still, but with painted details as in your kylo ren in ms paint work) I'm having quite a large amount of trouble getting a piece down in the first place.
