everytime they open with "19 million people are hoarders" i remember that when the show started, that number was 3 million.

Nora is a very sweet lady. She was hanging on to her things until she learnt that those stuff would be donated to fire victims. Then she was eager to let the victims have her stuff. That’s real generosity and empathy. Wishing her a beautiful journey forward.

Parents: "Then just burn the place down."

Kids: "When you die that is exactly what we are going to do."

That was the best response I've heard on this show yet.

I just wanna shout out Nora for realizing she could help people who really needed it and used it as motivation. That was really really touching to see.

Delores and Arthur’s home is STUNNING. I could really tell by how Delores was willing to delegate others to make decisions, etc. that she was ready to change and that’s something we don’t often see on this show. I hope these two are doing well!

“I lost thirty minutes of my life today.”
I laughed so hard, he was saying exactly what I was thinking with Margie omg

Arthur & Delores are so precious. When she set off the flamingo I cracked up. And all their antique gilded furniture! I hope their whole family is doing well & happy

I'm 26 and after my mom died in 2020 i was becoming a hoarder. I started with her stuff but then it started getting worse but when i discovered this program and saw this is how i would end up it really changed my life.

“I’ve been ignored by many women in my life” 😂😂
I absolutely adore Matt!! He always does his absolute best to help these ill people, even when they are horrible to him!! I’ll never understand why these people are the way they are, but I am thankful that people like Matt and the Hoarders team exist and are out there trying to help these people one hoard at a time!
Cheers

It's really sad to see that the lady at store knows her situation but still enables her and tells her to lie to her husband. I know she runs a business and it's about making money, but can it not always be about money though.

Lets take a moment to congradulate Marel on getting up in the middle of the night and throwing away stuff on her own. Great job, we are proud of you.

What's particularly disgusting is the consignment store salesperson taking advantage of Dolores. She not only knew the hoarder had a problem she advised her to remove the plastic bag so her husband wouldn't notice it. And it was not the first time. That's what drug dealers do. So the salesperson was below dreck, schist, waste.

Debbie is ruthless. The grandsons room is not a priority because he isn’t small anymore? He’s going to remember that for the rest of his life.

The psychologist with Kate is SO good. He guides her to the right place without pushing too hard.

As a grandmother it broke my heart when she said she didnt want to set that rm up for ur grandbaby. If i was the mother i would have left with my child and not came back!! U dnt make children feel like they are not important in ur life. Family or not i would never allow her to make my son feel that way

I worked at a second-hand shop and there was a lady who I could tell was a hoarder. She was obsessed with handbags and would buy at least a third of the bags we had on sale every time she came in. She would go home with at least two full shopping bags.
Sometimes, she would bring her young teenage kids in. They all had this dead look in their eyes and the only words I heard them utter was "okay" and "yes mum".
I so desperately wanted to refuse to sell her things and offer her charity counselling, but I knew she would blow up. She had asked for my opinion on one of the bags she wanted to buy, and when I didn't respond with complete positivity, she absolutely snapped. She went from sickly sweet to screaming at me for questioning her choices. She never forgave me for it. She would remind me how I had "disrespected" everytime she came in. If she reacts like that to me saying a bag is not my favourite, it's horrible to imagine how she treats her children.

I can't believe how hateful Debbie talked about her grandson right in front of him. Some of these hoarders are so despicable, the filth they live in seems like just punishment.
