The possum was trying to leave. All your trash was in its way.

Judy: "I dont want everyone in this small town knowing my business".

...goes on nationally broadcast show to air her business. And brings her brother and husband along for the ride.

I binge watch these hoarder episodes every new year just to declutter all the junk I don't need or want anymore. I celebrate New Year's Day in a cleaner less cluttered home. Absolute best feeling ever

LOL at Richard thinking he came out. He must think his family were totally clueless.

the story of the grandmother with cancer is making me tear up, im so happy for her and for her family that she could go in peace knowing that her family could live in a clean home

I just love Matt! He is no nonsense but still really cares about people.

A couple of thoughts that have helped me declutter (I'm not a hoarder and intend to keep it that way): I use the "20-20 Rule": if it cost less than $20 and can be replaced within 20 minutes, it's not worth hoarding (adjust with your own parameters—I live out in the boondocks and can't literally replace something "within 20 minutes, " but I use the idea of being "easy to replace")—also, things like plastic food containers are constantly coming into the house, why bother saving more than a couple? If you actually need a large quantity, they'll add up fast enough just from ordinary living. Things that are broken/need fixing, if they haven't been fixed after several months or more, they're not going to be and have no value and need to be thrown out

Laura's story made me ball my eyes out. I'm so glad she was able to feel peace and some inner comfort when she passed. I kept shaking my head 'no' at her every time she got upset and worried, because she HAD to focus on the courageous and wonderful decision she made for her family. There are some people on this show that wouldn't have done this even if they knew they were going to pass. Much love to her family and I know she will be remembered fondly. ❤️🙏🌹

That possum works for the producers. It makes an appearance during somber moments.

I used to " collect" clothing and things from 45 years. My nephew called me out on my collection and from that day forward if i havent used or worn it in the last year, i donated. Its bern the best decision ive made.

I felt so bad for Judy's husband. Can't believe at her age she doesn't know how to use money. Even if she's grieving she still has family to enjoy life with.

😮 Back when Hoarders first aired, it was 3 million people who suffered from this disorder, now it's 19 million?! Life in this world is getting tough. Those personal demons turn into baggage, LITERALLY!

What these collectors don’t realize is that the kids don’t want all that junk!! I know from experience, I too was a collector and one day it hit me that I was leaving a big problem for my daughter! Stuff I collected for me that she had no interest in keeping, so I got busy and cleaned house! Took a lot of stuff to an auction and had a yard sale!!

Opossums are so sweet. They eat 5k ticks per season, the only defense mechanism they actually have is showing teeth, they will very rarely even bite. Their body temperatures are too low to carry rabies. The virus cannot live in their bodies. They are very similar to cats. Very sweet.
